Castleton is a very well appointed characterful two story annex with a garden, close to Chichester city centre and Goodwood motor circuit (perfect for Revival and all the Goodwood events).
The annex itself offers a large open-plan sitting and dining area, with the kitchen set back in one corner. You can relax on the very comfy sofas and on colder nights and cosy up under a blanket watching the smart TV. The kitchen area is well equipped and includes a kettle, Delongi coffee machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and toaster.
Upstairs there is a large bright bedroom with a king size bed (can be split into 2 singles) and an en-suite shower room.
This property also offers WIFI and a parking space for one car and secure bike storage.
Castleton is only an easy 15 minute walk from Chichester city centre. It is also within walking distance of the famous Festival Theatre and Cathedral, as well as both local and larger shops, making it an ideal location from which to be based. Chichester is an historic city with strong Roman connections and has an enormous array of things to do and places to visit. The city is blessed with a variety of beautiful architecture, with great care having been taken to preserve its character. The ancient walls surround the city centre and one can walk along them, through various scenic parks. There is a thriving tennis and squash club, along with various fitness and health clubs and there is a selection of shops and restaurants, the latter offering excellent choices for the most varied culinary tastes.
Just to the north of Chichester are the stunning South Downs, with lovely rolling countryside and as well as many picturesque Downland villages. There is the Goodwood horse racing track to visit, along with the world famous motor sports events held annually, such as the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. Golf is also available at Goodwood and the polo at Cowdray Park, near Midhurst, is just a short drive away. There is excellent sailing in Chichester Harbour, as well as windsurfing at the Witterings and diving at Bracklesham Bay. London is less than 2 hours away, either by road or rail.

Castleton is an annexe to a pretty cottage in north Chichester. The accommodation is very good, it has served us well for both our visits. The location is excellent for the city and for walks to Lavant and around.

Overall a very pleasent place to stay, in a quiet location although not far from the centre of Chichester. We did drive pass the place 4 or 5 times on arrival as we found it difficult to locate the house names from the car. The place was very clean and well looked after, kitchen had an adequte supply of utensils and the appliances all worked. The only thing which caused us a small problem by the end of the week was the fact that the settee sags and you both end up in the middle and did not provide ample support when sitting which led to some minor aches & pains. Richard & Astrid were most welcoming and Astrid keeps a very colourful garden which was most welcome to sit in, in the evening sun. If we are visiting the area again we will not hesitate to book again if available.

This is a gem of a property, with delightful hosts. Very quiet and so clean and well equipped. Very comfortable furniture, bed and and a lovely shower. Very handy location to Chichester and surrounds. We would highly recommend to anyone looking and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our stay at Castleton. The Annexe is very attractive and has been well fitted out as a holiday home. We liked being able to sit out on the very pretty patio and look at the lovely garden. It was also very convenient for the city centre; we walked to the Minerva Theatre in about 20 minutes. The Annexe is also very well insulated. This was a blessing during the recent hot spell of weather when the house kept very pleasantly cool.

The cottage is tastefully designed and provides everything needed for a week away from home. The owner had even put flowers from her own beautiful garden in each room. The cottage is charming and only a mile from the centre of Chichester. My only difficulty was trying to work a modern electric hob as I don't have one at home. I did look online and sort of managed to get by. I'm sure I will be back.

I had a really good stay. The whole place was very clean, comfortable, and very convenient with a shop just around the corner and an easy walk or drive into Chichester. I will book again.
