Castaway Cottage + Beach + Heated Private Pool & Spa + GOLF CART INCLUDED!

This was perfect for our teenage kids and our family. We absolutely loved the location, the pool was gorgeous, the amenities were over the top, and house was very clean and accommodating. We loved being able to go anywhere we needed or wanted without a hassle. The walk to the beach was easy and enjoyable. The owners were super friendly and easy to contact upon arrival and leaving. They quickly fixed a flat tire on a bike. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We wil forever cherish this vacation spot.

We had the most amazing family vacation. The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach. They had anything you could need for the beach available from chairs, toys, paddle boards, sun shades, beach cart, cooler, beach bags and beach towels. The golf cart was such a bonus with going around the island for ice cream, shopping and dinner. We are so happy we chose to stay at this cottage.

The best find in AMI! This property has EVERYTHING you may need during your stay. We assumed the beach chairs will be pretty well used for staying at a rental property, so we brought our own. Their chairs were better than ours! After seeing the quality and quantity of everything in this property, I repacked the things we brought back in the car.We enjoyed the fact that this property is one block from the beach and the amazing private backyard pool. The included golf cart made it so easy to find parking on the island and was great for evening rides.The hosts were great about responding to our every need and showed us everything we needed to know upon arrival. Its great to know they are always nearby if we did need anything. We look forward to coming back!

They really provided everything. I brought my own beach towels because you never know, but theirs were actually better than mine, lol. The golf cart and bicycles were great and it was a close walk to the beach. We enjoyed the shade and privacy of the pool. It was a great experience at A.M.I.

Extra amenities in the rental property was a nice touch. We liked that you left us a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my retirement. The pool was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. It was nice to have you right next door to greet us and if there was anything we needed.

Really great owners. The pool area is great. Layout and cleanliness are top notch.The home is very well stocked with everything you could want or need.We have yet to find a place with such attention to all the small details. Area afyer hours is quiet and peaceful which is much appreciated.

A truly amazing home and hosts. Perfect location away from crowds yet close to everything. They provide just about anything you need. The house was very clean, the heated pool was amazing and being able to take the golf cart around to all the amazing restaurant's and shops was so fun. Can’t wait to return.

We loved the outdoor space more than anything! This was our favorite part of the cottage. Even on windy days, it was blocked from the wind back there.

Castaways is hidden gem. It’s small but has everything you need for the beach. The pool is great and spa was wonderful. There is a golf cart on property that can be used so that you never have to use your vehicle. On this end of island there is very little parking so that the beach is just two blocks away and is very private. Best beach on island. I can’t name everything that Dan and gander have stocked the home with. Best I’ve ever seen.

Very clean and provides everything you could possibly need. Loved having the golf cart. I gave 4 stars because listing says 1 min to beach and was about 2 blocks. It only mattered because my husband is on oxygen and can’t walk far. Location was great, host was great, pool and hot tub all very nice!!

This adorable cottage was cozy and perfectly clean. The inside is adorable, but the backyard pool area is a true oasis. Our family was in the pool constantly and enjoyed quality time together in the hot tub. We absolutely loved our time there.

The host was excellent very nice extremely helpful if you needed the amenities were nothing I have seen before. We have been traveling to Florida and staying at places all over for probably 14 years and this is the only place that really had the amenities and made you feel welcome we stayed at places with heated pools but well if the weather wasn’t good it wasn’t heated not this place. They said heated pool. We were unfortunately there when the temperatures dropped to the low 50s and he kept the pool heated into the 80s, which was great. We had a brief power outage while we were there but I wasn’t worried about it at all, but as soon as the power went out, the host texted us right away reminded us where lights were lanterns, flashlights the tentativeness of the host is remarkable.

Hosts were exceptional. Communicated quickly to answer questions. Apartment was putfitted wirh everything we needed. Private location. Loved the private pool, hot tub, and outdoor shower. Short walk to a gorgeous beach. Love the laid back feel of AMI!

This place was great! They’ve thought of everything you could possibly need while on vacation. Plenty of pool and beach toys for kids. We loved not needing to rent a golf cart elsewhere and we loved the location. House was clean and perfect for our vacation.

Castaway Cottage is a perfect place to relax on beautiful Anna Maria Island. Dan and Lori are terrific hosts and the house has everything you need. The location is perfect and backyard pool is such a great place to kick back. We will definitely be back.

We were greeted by the very friendly host on arrival to give us a tour of the place which was nice. The home was equipped with everything you may need during your stay. The mini fridge out front was a great addition as well as the outdoor shower that we loved! The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. The walk to the beach was very convenient and such a quick walk. We loved how quiet it was this time of year while sitting out front in the evenings. You could hear the ocean waves from there! Overall, this place had great hospitality and a great location! We are grateful for our stay.

Absolutely loved our stay! House is located well with easy walk to the beach and golf cart made getting to restaurants very convenient and quick. House has been recently renovated after storms in 2024 so it’s in great shape. Being only 800 sq ft it’s a little tight but fine for a family or 3 or 4. Kitchen is well stocked and made it easy to cook when we wanted. Outdoor pool is absolutely fantastic with an outdoor TV, lounge chairs, grills and huge hot tub. They have everything you need for the beach so just bring your swim suit and a toy for the kid and get ready to chill!

Must stay here! Unit is stocked, styled and seriously well thought out. This place is amazing - close to beach accesses and they have any and everything you need to make your stay stress-free. Golf cart & available beach gear is on-point and pool oasis with hot tub is just the icing on the cake!

Like all of the other reviews, the place was perfect, the hosts were perfect, the location was perfect. The thing that was most significant for us was we immediately felt like we were at home. The cottage has everything one could possibly need, yet there remains the perfect amount of space to move in and call it home. Thanks for a wonderful experience… Alan and Carrie

This was a great stay. They thought of everything to enjoy our time on Anna Maria Island. Frankly we would’ve needed a month to utilize all of gear and amenities available. The pool area was perfect and we particularly loved the outdoor shower space. Our hosts were super responsive to small requests though we had only one because as mentioned we lacked nothing. So happy we chose this property.

Cute, quaint, little cottage! Good for four people. Clean, walk to the beach within minutes, near eateries and restaurants with the use of the golf cart which is included. Everything you need for home, is already here!

We have been to AMI multiple times and this has been our favorite! Everything you need is there! The backyard is perfect, super quick and easy walk to the beach, and having the golf cart was so convenient. We plan to stay with Dan and Goose again!

We went to Ana Maria Island for a quick beach getaway before school started. August in Florida is extremely hot and the ocean water is very warm. The cottage and all of its amenities offered a reprieve from the Florida Sun. The pool was the perfect temperature to cool off and enjoy outside in the summer heat. The cottage itself had every amenity that you would possibly need during your stay. The location was perfect with beach access very close by, making it easy to get to the beach for the beautiful sunsets. The golf cart was an added bonus and made it easy to get everywhere on the island. We would definitely recommend staying at this cottage and look forward to returning ourselves!

Owners were incredible! They even helped us with tire issue on our rental car after we checked out on a busy day for them! the pool in the back was a great place for us and the kids to relax, and just a very short walk to the best beach on the island! We absolutely would return!

This stay was so memorable and great for us! The home was cozy and sparkling clean. There were no needs not met - it was so well appointed. The pool was our favorite part with our little ones. All the extras that Dan and Goose provide make you feel so at ease. We can’t say enough good things about this place, you’ve got to experience it for yourself! The golf cart was the cherry on top.

All I can say is WOW! Goose and Gander are incredible property owners who undoubtably take pride in their properties. Such a cute, cozy cottage within a quiet area just a very short walk to the remote, pristine white sandy beach area. There weren't any details left out - everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable were available with this rental, plus some. They manage several properties to accommodate different party sizes. We will definitely be reaching out to Dan and Lori the next time we plan to visit AMI - would go back tomorrow if I could ;)

Everything was amazing; no detail was missed. Castaway Cottage is the perfect spot. Our group could not stop talking about all the things we loved, especially the pool and outdoor shower!

We were there for 4 nights, greeted as we arrived by the owner who introduced us to everything about the property including operation of the golf cart and hot tub with the pool. Everything we needed was provided and the cottage was charming. We had our 12 year old granddaughter with us and. She loved it, too,

Had an amazing stay with my 2 sisters. The property was easily accessible by foot to Bean Point. The golf cart was an awesome amenity ...we were able to maneuver around the island to all of the cute shops and yummy eateries without a hitch. Our hosts were more than accommodating and very friendly.would definitely stay again and again...

This house was perfect for our family of 4 (boys 6 &8). Lori and Dan have truly thought of everything to make your vacation effortless. The house was clean and hosts were quick to answer any questions we had.They have the best beach supplies (wagon, Shibumi shade, beach chairs, toys, etc), and we used them daily. Their pool is where my kids had the most fun. It was at a comfortable 86 degrees, and we were able to turn the hot tub on whenever we felt like using it. They even have a TV outside. Our kids watched a movie one evening while floating on inner tubes :) Their property is a quick walk to bean point, and a quick golf cart ride to restaurants, shops, etc. All in all, we had a perfect vacation.

We loved our stay at the Castaway Cottage. The owners are so nice and met us on arrival. The house was clean and had all the things we needed to cook meals. The pool and landscaping are amazing and still feels very private. The proximity to Bean Point Beach was so convenient too especially with a little one. We also loved using the included golf cart and had so much fun riding around Anna Maria. This is a great place to stay for a small family or couple

Family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 3 nights in April. Had an excellent time on the island. And we were really impressed with the property and its location. Cool little trail, steps from the door take you straight to Bean Point.

This property is ideal…clean, close to the beach and comes with everything that you need for a relaxing vacation. The outdoor area with heated pool, hot tub, kayak, paddle boards, outdoor shower and tv was amazing! We spent most of our time outdoors with everything that we needed. I can’t say enough good things…we hope to go back soon!

My sixth year returning to reset and relax… I was so relieved to see little Castaway still standing and looking fabulous after Helene and Milton- kudos to Dan and Goose for their hospitality and even welcoming a new puppy to the scene. It was wonderful to see businesses and folks coming back from the devastation and look forward to next time!

We had an amazing getaway! The best location and amenities! The cottage is stocked with everything you need and more.. and it's decor is so cute! Highly recommend staying here. Thank you to our wonderful hosts - very accommodating they're super nice!!! We plan on a return trip!

Everything thought about, all put together really well.Pool got dirty from trees a lot…..Didn’t understand it was not detached, but didn’t matter, but would have liked to know…..

The island itself was absolutely perfect – beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the amenities at the cottage left much to be desired. The hot tub, which was one of the main reasons I chose this property, was unusable for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed. When reaching out to the hosts, their response was underwhelming at best. The first complaint led to a fix which allowed the hot tub to be used one night, the second complaint the host simply stated that they hoped it didn't ruin the evening rather than offering any real solution or compensation. Communication was lacking throughout our stay, which was disappointing. While the location was wonderful, the overall experience fell short due to the unusable amenities and poor host response.

Castaway Cottage exceeded our expectations! The location is an easy 2 minute walk to the beach and dining is an easy 3 minute golf cart ride. The owners outfitted the home to perfection. We loved our stay and look forward to another visit soon.

Myself, my husband and our twin boys age 8 stayed from Dec 23rd - Dec 28th, 2024. and Yes even after 2 hurricanes we still went! and with zero regrets. AMI came a long way in 2months of hard work.Dan and Lori were great! They kept me informed and up to date with status of repairs because of hurricane damage. Any questions I had prior to arrival with status of island, places open etc. They got back to me same day. This place was perfect for us. Everything we needed was there, the pool was great and ready for us. A quick 2mins walk and we were on the beach. The golf cart we used everyday which the kids loved! It was an all around great place to stay & will definitely visit here again. Thank you Dan and Lori :) Hope 2025 is a great year !

This was hands down the best service ive ever experienced even better than most hotels! The property managers were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They had a ton of amenities and they even blessed us with a bottle of wine and champagne for our honeymoon! I definitely recommend this place to vacation we will be back for sure!

Perfectly lovely, well put-together, homey, full of amenities, including beach amenities, comes with goofy wheelbarrow to haul chairs and umbrellas and miscellaneous crapola to the beach plus a goofy golf cart tor tool around within a few miles, and everything is within a few miles. Managers were welcoming and helpful.

The property was just as described! Great outdoor private pool and steps away from the beat beach on the island! Dan and Goose were quick with responses and very accommodating.
