Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful stay in casetta eoliana, and loved everything about it. Anoeta and Felice couldn't have given us a warmer welcome, and even came down to the house after a very stormy night to check that everything was okay. The interior has everything you could possibly need, and is really cosy. The grounds have plenty of spaces to sit, lie or laze in the mini pool, and the views from the terrace and wide bedroom window are beautiful. We were lucky to be able to drive behind Stefano from Dolce Vita on our first trip down the dirt track to the house in a rented car (old!), and found it quite easy after that - but it's not necessarily for the faint-hearted. The walk to Lipari is very steep in one part, fine for most people but not if you have knee problems. However, there is a bus that allows you to avoid that part. Lipari has a lot to offer, and varied scenery. The museum (where Felice works) is one of the best in Italy. Our warm thanks to Anoeta and Felice for sharing their lovely house. We felt more like friends when we left.
