We did not come for fishing, but for hiking at the various state parks. The Brookie cottage being located right off of the Savage river was a big attraction for us, and it was wonderful. We spent four great days in the area exploring the many hikes, the lakes, and enjoying bonfires at nighttime. We would love to come back. By the owner's suggestion we went to a family restaurant called Duckies' Bar and Grill, just ten minutes away, and had just about the best burger ever.

The cabin was great. The river was beautiful. The fly shot was nice. The people were friendly and helpful about where to fish. Unfortunately we didn't have any luck. It was our first time trying to fly fish. I highly recommend the cabins to anyone. My wife and I are already planning our next trip in the late spring of 2026. Can't wait to get back on the river and stay at the cabin again. Thank you Mike and Charlie for a great Anniversary.

Nice little cabin near the river. Came to fish but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans shortly before our stay, river was blown out but would love to try again and come back. Had some minor signal for light use

Perfect size for family of 4. All the luxuries of home in a beautiful wooded setting. Great place to escape the heat of summer. Host Mike could not have been nicer. Note that this stretch of the Savage River is protected and is fly fishing only.

Stayed for 3 nights and it was a perfect little cabin. Very shady and cool so if you tend to be a cold person be sure to bring sweatshirts and pants. About 30 minutes away from Deep Creek lake. Property is exactly as described. No issues at all with our stay.
