Breathtaking Newbury Cottage w/ Deck on Chalk Pond

This cottage had a gorgeous view of Chalk Pond, kayaks provided allowed us to cruise around the pond. The cottage was immaculate and well equipped should you want to eat in.

Lovely cottage on the lake for a relaxing stay. Could have been a bit cleaner but overall was pleased.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay. The only issue was the thermostat controlling the stove. It was either too cold or too hot. Maybe more specific instructions for operation. Thanks for the stay!

The cottage was just as described.. breathtaking views, clean, comfortable, and a great location.. there wasn’t any more to hope for!

Good location, not too much to do in the area. The house was not as clean as we’d liked when we first arrived, a lot of cheerios and dust on the floor. The inside of the house was adorable though and had just what we needed to cook our meals. The walls however do not go all the way to the ceiling so when you’re in the bedrooms you can hear everything going on in the living room/other bedroom, etc. Just not ideal for your kids trying to sleep. The kayaks were great and the pond was so peaceful, the neighbors were so kind as well. The yard leading to the dock was so very steep so just watch out if you have small kids or have trouble walking.

The location was absolutely perfect. Sitting by the lake with a coffee was lovely. The house was clean and comfy, the rocking chairs in the lounge were such fun to sit in. Although there was only two of us there are a lot of outdoor seating for four to eight people. Everything was provided that was needed although we couldn’t find an ironing board for the iron and a kettle would be nice for instant coffee and tea drinkers ( us Brit’s ?) We loved staying there, would happily book again.

Everything was great. Nice house, easy access. Good water pressure.

My daughters and I rented this cottage for a girls weekend. The pictures on line didn’t do it justice, it was amazing. Everything we could need was there to make our stay comfortable. We had coffee on the deck by the lake, kayaking on the pond, and made use of the many walking paths.

I cannot say enough about this property. I love it enough to buy it, so that says a lot. I stayed with my 3 kids. We fished, kayaked, and swam for the weekend. The house is equipped with all of the basics needed for a comfortable vacation. The beds were great. The home seemed recently renovated and was clean. There's a few local restaurants nearby

We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were gracious, communicative, and attentive. Property is modern, well appointed, and comfortable. Bedrooms don’t have ceilings so sound travels from the bedrooms which could be a concern for some. It was not an issue for us.
