Dade City, Florida
Located off a dirt road surrounded by farmland is this historical cracker-style cottage with modern day touches. Sip sweet tea from the front porch, tour the butterfly gardens, play basketball, or soccer with full size goals. Lots of room to roam and explore. In the evening relax by the outdoor fire with smores and a toddy. We look forward to hosting you!
Our cottage is perfect for a couple or family group wanting to escape to the country for a retreat. There is one full bed, plus two Tempur-pedic rollaway twin mattresses. This historic home is 500 sq feet, however, it is laid out well with a defined kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living area with a 3 person dining table that can also be used as an office space. Cabinets in the entryway store the extra towels, sheets, and comforters. The home has been rewired and insulated so that there is comfortable airflow with central air conditioning. The bathroom is fully equipped with strong water pressure and a full bathtub. In keeping with the simple vibe, there is not a washer or dryer, but there is a quaint laundromat within five miles in downtown Dade City that provides a wash and fold service. The kitchen includes a full oven, wine cooler, refrigerator and freezer. This property was a main home property for many years and it is very livable, homey, and comfortable. We hope that you enjoy your stay!

My second stay. Love it there.
The property looks just like the photos and the host was very accommodating and even let us know about local events that were happening during our stay! We had a great time and the privacy that the property gave was perfect after a long day at the Renaissance festival!!
This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s so darling! An old, wooden Florida cracker house filled with charm. I loved it from the moment I opened the door to that old-fashioned smell of an antique one-room schoolhouse! Everything about it was perfect. The cabin is such a calm place to get away from the noisy city. And that’s just the inside! The outside - two acres totally fenced in. My German Shepherd Dog loved it! He spent hours out there running all around, completely safe. I was not worried at all for his safety.. So many sweet places to sit, have lunch, listen to nature, or take pictures. It was freezing when we were there, 27 degrees, but there were lots of pillows and blankets to snuggle under and stay warm,. Sarah was great! She responded right away when I called to find out how to use the heater and to do anything she could to make my stay perfect. The cabin is very quiet and peaceful. Even though you can hear a train, it’s fine and not loud. Being an old cabin, there are tiny room level differences to be careful of when going from one room to another, but I had no trouble at all with it. And the cabin is only one level; there are no steps at all, not even to get into it from the back door. I love this cabin and would not hesitate to stay here again!
We loved everything about this home. Was more than sad to leave. Will be back. Thank you Sarah!
Great get away home.clean, clean, clean! Host always in communication.we had dogs.,so property was open,we could walk our dogs.(fenced) .very cute inside furnishings..Relaxed,clean,comfortable . pet friendly, thanks.hope to visit Dade City again.
The little cottage was cozy & beautifully decorated. Sarah has thought of every detail. The land is amazing & plenty of outdoor activities! I would recommend this home for a couple or solo unless you pop a tent or bring an RV. The bed is comfy but quite small.
