Blue Ridge Cottage: Modern Solace in the Mountains

If I could rate this experience higher than 5 stars I would! BEAUTIFULLY appointed cottage with amazing property!! The goats were a hoot! We saw many deer on the property and even an armadillo! We loved exploring the property and sitting out on the covered porch area in the evening, watching the evening rainstorms, with the ambiance of a fire in the 100 year old stone fireplace. The cottage was so peaceful, but only about 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, where we found great restaurants and shops.

Wonderful experience!! We loved the peaceful setting, watching wildlife and feeling far from it all while still being close to town. Our stay could not have been more perfect!!

Property very clean and comfortable. Yards were well manicured. The porch was amazing to sit and relax. The house was already cool in temperature when we arrived. Will definitely stay here again.

This is my 3rd stay at this property and each time I love it a little bit more. It was super clean and it had everything this teacher needed for spring break. I accidentally left my wedding ring and the property manager was so kind to find it and send it to me. They didn’t have to do that. 12/10 .. highly recommend

This is certainly one of our best vacation rental experiences. This very well maintained property was exactly as described…no surprises. Just a short ride from Blue Ridge the location is quiet, rustic and very relaxing. The fireplace on the covered deck was amazing!

The mountain cottage exceeded my expectations. The property was gorgeous. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a prime location. Acres to roam and goats ! The owner didn’t have fussy rules and is invested in guests enjoying their stay and time away. I’ll be back!

This was one of the best rentals that my husband and I have stayed in. The cottage was beautiful and met all of our wishes. The grounds surrounding the property were awesome. Very private, watched the deer every evening and enjoyed the company of the goats! Went on a train ride, picked apples, visited a winery and brewery. Finished each day with a fire on the patio overlooking the beautiful landscape. Perfect…

we couldn't be more pleased with our stay. we were very happy with the whole experience.

The house was beautifully appointed and the surroundings were awesome. The house was also very clean, and linens were great quality. However, the listing was not completely transparent! It listed a stove and refrigerator in the kitchen equipment, but that description is a bit deceiving! The “refrigerator “ is 2 wine coolers- not a true refrigerator with a freezer compartment. So there was no way to keep anything frozen. The “stove” consists of a toaster oven, hot plate and griddle. We managed, but it definitely would have helped to know this upfront! Otherwise, no complaints.

The house is just as pictured and every detail was top quality! Linens, bedding, countertops, and decor was all so nice. Great walk-in showers with good water pressure and lots of hot water. The kitchenette is just as listed with 2 small refrigerators and a counter-top ice maker. There are also many appliances in the cabinets: Keurig, traditional coffee maker, counter-top burners, toasters, etc.But the best was the covered porch with great views! And walk just a few feet to meet the goats. You can pet and visit them, and they will talk to you. But they go to sleep once the sun goes down. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. And the property is big enough to take short walks.Finally, our host was truly a super host. We had a couple of questions and needed help with the TVs, and he was down to help us in minutes. You can really tell that he and his family take great pride in sharing their rental home!

Just an amazing house and property that allows you and your family to relax and be together.

My two daughters and I really enjoyed our weekend! We were celebrating my youngest and her upcoming wedding- this was the perfect spot! The cottage was gorgeous, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a short hike, a visit to Mercier Orchard, and shopping. The cabin was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. We would love to visit again!

We enjoyed our week relaxing on the deck and watching the goats and deer. The weather was perfect for making hotdogs in the fire place. We would definitely stay here again.
