We had an amazing experience at Julia & Robert’s. Everything was as described and was even nicer in person. The pool, the garden, the flowers and all the butterflies were just magical. The house is very well laid out for families sharing and there’s great entertainment for kids with the games room and pool area which is also secure with a fence. I would highly recommend this location.

A very peaceful setting and the accomodation layout provides seating in various rooms as well as outdoors so plenty of space to find a bit of 'me time' should you wish to. The pool was a great size and had plenty of seating/ loungers to accommodate everyone. The pool table was also well used.The bedrooms looked very impressive but be aware that the one we used has a large beam that you have to squeeze past to get into bed though the others are all fine. Our shower was great though one in the party commented that the bath in another room was beautiful but was deep and as the ceiling sloped it could be quite tricky. The weather was mixed so we did struggle drying some heavier washing as there wasn't a tumble drier. That being said we had 7 adults stay for a week and we all had a wonderful time and Robert and Julia were excellent hosts as was their dog who was the star attraction with my adult children who loved it if she managed to sqeeze through a gap in the fence. We would recommend you try this gite if you want space , peace but things to do too. We would definately return if holidaying in the same area again.

A really lovely place. Beautiful house. Wonderful pool. Gorgeous countryside plus so many pretty places to visit. Very calm and uncomplicated hosts. We shall come again.

Huge House and Outdoor area with a personal touch, nicely equiped and with super sweet owners. Very recommended for groups who are looking for a spacious Place for in- and outdoor activities

We had a lovely restful week in La Poujades, Reilhaguet. The house was a great size for our extended family. The village Payrac was 10 mins away with a good restaurant and grocery store. Gourdon a bit further with more choice and a great Patisserie. Robert was so helpful with booking a restaurant and finally kindly offering to take our son and his family to the station in Gourdon on departure. Thank you for a great stay!

It was a wonderful stay and idyllic location. If you want to experience some real rural France then it’s perfect. The local shops are great for small top up shops but be aware that Sundays and Mondays are limited opening hours. Restaurants are all a drive away but we’ll Worth it. We highly recommend this as a base for traveling around the Dordogne. We could not fault the house it’s simply stunning and wonderful for two families or groups.

This was a lovely house in a great, quiet, rural location ideal for exploring the Lot. The quiet roads and footpaths were excellent for hiking, running and cycling. The nearby Dordogne river also provided easy access to swimming and canoeing. The pool was a great size and the bedroom fans were very welcome on hot days. We also enjoyed having the pool, table football and table tennis tables. Robert and Julia were very helpful hosts. Thank you for two wonderful weeks.

We stayed two weeks at Robert and Julia’s property and loved every minute of our holiday. We were 4 adults and 6 children aged between 11 and 3. The house is perched on a hilltop with far reaching views across the valley offering beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a very welcome breeze! Inside it is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and the games room was a hit with the kids. Point to note: there are two bedrooms at the top of each staircase. One side is a double with cot and a triple, the other side is a triple and a double. All en-suite but only two showers in total, one each side of the house, not a shower in every bathroom (sink, toilet and bath in every bathroom though). Not an issue at all for us but could be if you’re all adults and need to share showers. The top attraction though was the huge pool. I think our kids spent more time in it than out! It’s securely fenced (great with a 3yr old running free) and Robert cleaned it several times during our stay. There is also a gate on the drive which adds more helpful security. We ate on the terrace almost every meal and we’re blessed with hot weather every day. Payrac a short drive for morning croissants (also a useful small supermarket and lovely restaurant there). Robert and Julia were on hand if needed but completely discreet if not (they live just behind the house). All in all a huge success and we hope to return. Thank you Julia and Robert!

Great property, friendly hosts and lovely location!! We were a family of 4 adults and had lots of space, inside and out, to cater for all our needs! The pool is huge and was well used throughout our week (and was heated to a comfortable temperature!). All the facilities you could possibly need are fully provided for and the wonderful property is full of charm and character. Robert and Julia were very welcoming and were only a stone’s throw away if we needed anything (thankfully we didn’t need to trouble them at all as everything was just perfect). I would fully recommend this holiday home and wish Robert & Julia every success for the future. Mark & Julia.
