Stayed Sep 9, 2025We used the cottage as a central location to look at many different places in Ireland. The host was very helpful and welcomed us to the cottage. There were nice places to sit inside and out.I would just like to point out that if you are expecting a hotel or a sterile B&B this is likely not for you.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025Our hosts were incredibly helpful, friendly and from the moment we arrived more than happy to pass on information to places to visit in Ireland. The cottage was so welcoming and we loved every moment we had there. Any questions we had were always answered extremely quickly. It was a pleasure to stay in Greenville Cottage, thank you to Denise and Joseph and their three sons, you all aided in our visit to your home and your country .

Stayed Jul 12, 2025Absolutely loved our stay at this nearly 200-year-old cottage tucked away in the heart of Ireland. It’s the perfect home base for day trips across the country. we were able to explore so much without ever feeling rushed. The location is peaceful, central, and full of character. One of the best parts was coming back to the cottage and being greeted by the dogs across the gate! Denise and her husband were wonderful hosts, incredibly kind, thoughtful, and a joy to chat with. We had some great conversations and learned so much from both of them.If you’re looking for something more memorable than a standard hotel stay, this is it. Unique, charming, and full of history, we’d absolutely recommend it!

Stayed Jul 5, 2025We were three older adults looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting the mid west. It is a very central location with connections to the motorway going both east and west. We felt welcomed, secure, and a quiet place to just relax in the evenings. The cottage has a lot of old age charm, artistic touches and a very warm welcome by our hostess. Very cllean, no mod cons, but who needs those? It’s a holiday venue for relaxation.

Stayed May 31, 2025The property was as unique and enjoyable as described. The only drawback was the cold weather and lack of adequate heating. Both doors had multiple gaps. the indoor temp. about the same as outside. Very recommendable in warmer weather.

Stayed May 21, 2024We chose this cottage in the country to experience the local towns, people, the food, & history. We rented a car & used the cottage as base. Each day we drove to a different castle or locale.Even the Cliffs of Moher was a day trip. Roscrea village was close for groceries. Denise & Joe were very friendly, helpful, kind, & wonderful hosts. Loved all the decor, books, location & Denise’s Irish soda bread was YUMMY! Highly recommend. Debbi & Perry

Stayed Oct 2, 2023My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenville. The cottage is situated in a quiet, very green location, the only thing you'll hear are Irish rain, and occasionally cows or when the lovely canine co-hosts Mandjar and Venice demand your attention. At the same time it's also close enough to make it a base for interesting day trips, we went to Kilkenny, Cashel, the cliffs and Limerick. The next shopping opportunity is in Templemore, approximately 10 mins by car. Also, Denise is an absolute treasure, she brought us home-made bread and artisan cheese and messaged us regularly to make sure everything was alright. The cottage itself is also very interesting, I never stayed in a house like this and it was quite fun to figure out the little quirks that come with it, for example how to properly shut the capricious doors. The beds are very good, there are tons of info material about the tourist attractions nearby and Denise also has a lot of tips. Long review short: We loved the stay and I'd recommend Greenville to everyone who wants to stay in a unique place that's also way quieter and has more soul than a hotel in a big city.

Stayed Jul 20, 2023Denise is a beautiful, friendly, considerate and very welcoming landlady. Her home baked Irish breads are fantastic. We were there ten days and she baked bread for us on three separate days as gifts. Absolutely delicious. We won't hesitate in staying at her beautiful self contained property again. Any future stays in Tipperary, she will be our first port of call. Thanks Denise, you are amazing.
