Beautiful Cora Cottage on Fox Lake/Chain O'Lakes with 40 Ft. Private Boat Pier.

We had a very nice and relaxing weekend. The house was beautiful and the view of the lake was spectacular. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed a day at the nearby Volo Museum with our 2 year old son (highly recommend!) and had some great dinners at nearby restaurants. Perfect weekend.

The lake house was exactly what we wanted. Everything was clean and anything you can think of that you need the owners made available to you. The communication with the owners was wonderful as I had to reach out prior to booking since my husband was handicapped. Maria was wonderful. We even lucked out and were able to check in early. The lake views were stunning. Absolutely loved our stay and hope to be back in the future.

Everything you’d want In a lake house and More!!!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Cora Cottage with my husband, mother-in-law, and our two dogs. The home was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly situated with beautiful views of Fox Lake. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. The host had excellent communication, responded quickly. The checkout process was very easy — the entire experience was seamless.There are upper and lower porches — we especially loved the upper porch with its comfortable seating, gas grill and unobstructed views. The main floor features a small galley-style kitchen, open-concept dining area and living room with a cozy wood fireplace, plus two bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs, there’s a family room with a second TV, gas fireplace, bar area, half bath, laundry, and access to the covered lower porch and backyard. The property is waterfront, with a third deck over the water and a 40-foot dock where guests with boats can tie up.The backyard/dock are easiest to reach from the lower level, though there’s also a side path for those who prefer to avoid the VERY tight spiral staircase between floors. Our dogs couldn’t safely navigate the stairs, so we took them for walks around the quiet neighborhood instead. My mother-in-law also found the stairs challenging, so small children or anyone with mobility issues would definitely need supervision.Overall, a peaceful, charming spot — we’d absolutely visit again!

Gorgeous retreat with multiple comfy and clear views of the lake, large trees, and bird songs for nature lovers but all the comforts of town within a few minutes. Hosts were responsive and had everything we needed when we realized we’d forgotten our own (wine opener, hair dryer, etc.). Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time at at this property over a long weekend. The owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The space was perfect for our family, with easy lake access and large dock to play off of with our kids!

Check in was super easy! House was cleaned and looked just like the picture. Beds were super comfortable. The house was very roomy and warming. The upper deck was nice and the view of the lake was beautiful! We brought our pontoon boat and docked it at their pier and that made it more fun! Overall, our stay was very nice and I'd definitely stay there again!! The hosts were very fast with responding.

The house was quite nice, and the view was perfect. However, I was unaware that the neighboring lot was an *active* construction site. The first day was pretty manageable, with constant nail guns in the background and the intermittent buzz of chop saws. Occasionally, sawdust would float down on us while we were chatting on the patio. The second morning, they brought in heavy machinery to excavate a well, which significantly increased noise. The final morning, I was awoken by the sound of a Bobcat-mounted jackhammer being used just outside.I imagine under normal circumstances, it would be *perfect*, but I can't really recommend it until the construction ends. Side note, the second bedroom could *really* use a small table or something. There is nowhere to sit a phone or glasses when going to sleep.

This property was very nice and has incredible views. It was so nice sitting on the various decks relaxing and taking in the beautiful views of the lake. I was sitting on the lower deck and an eagle flew right over me. We loved everything about it, the only complaint was the noise coming from the neighbor next door and various lawn maintenance workers. Almost every day there was some noise going on and was a little bit of a problem. I would definitely recommend as long as they can do something about all the noise.

This is a very beautiful property with great view of lake. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock as well. The property is as advertised on the site. Very clean and accommodated all of our needs. We will definitely stay here again.

Great little lake house that fit our family of 4 for a quick weekend. Nicely remodeled. Owner was very quick to respond to questions and accommodate a couple requests for us. The best part was hanging out on the deck and enjoying the lake view and breeze with extended family who were staying at a hotel.

Only issue we had is that the owner asked us to pay 90 on top of the usual cleaning fees. The reason given to us was that bugs had entered the house. The house was ina wooded area which was full of bugs as usual during summer. Apart from that, it's a fine placemb

We stayed for two nights on a family getaway. The cottage had everything we needed—stunning lake views, direct water access, relaxing patios, and cozy rooms. Check-in and checkout were smooth. Communication with the host was easy. It’s a hidden gem and we would recommend!

Very nicely updated cottage on Fox Lake. We booked in December but this would be a great place during the summer. An amazing view over the lake.

We stayed here for New Year's Eve with our 2 teenagers. The house could not have been any more perfect. The 2 bedrooms fit us well and the kids liked the bunk beds. We hung out downstairs both nights to play games and watch TV. Loved the fireplace and darts! I would spend the mornings sitting in the chair by the windows and reading while enjoying the lake view. Each morning we had 3 bald eagles in the trees! The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Great communication with the host and close to good restaurants. While here we visited Wilmot Mountain to go snow tubing. It was only a 15 minute drive! Great place and would stay again.

Our dream is to one day own a home near a lake. We got a taste of it and definitely would like more of it. Cora Cottage on Fox Lake is just magical and magnificent. The moment we stepped in, we were mesmerized by the view and sounds of the water. In the house itself, you'll find yourself saying that it feels like home; clean, beautiful, and wonderful.

Nice clean home with a great view. It was wonderful to have laundry on site. And the house had everything we needed from towels to cooking supplies to water, coffee and snacks. And the water pressure and mattresses were great! We slept so well! The neighborhood was nice and quiet. I do think it could be a little cuter. But they are working on it. There is a brand new park area that’s beautiful and a great nearby place to rent any boat you might want.

We loved we could dock our boat right on this property. Maria, the host made sure we had the extras I forgot, like coffe/tea/sugar/honey/creamer/etc. She also left snacks for adults/fur babies!! This home is very well cared for does not look like a rental that would allow your fur baby, so glad we found it!! We’ll definitely be back next year!

The whole family loved our stay. The two decks down by the lake were so relaxing. There was an upper deck attached to the house and a deck just underneath. We spent time on both of them. The downstairs was so nice with a bar and games for the children. Highly recommended!

My family and I enjoyed our short stay in Cora Cottage. The view from the porches is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and there are a couple of nice dinner spots in walking distance. We would definitely stay there again when the occasion arises.

Very clean and cozy lake house

Lovely little cottage that has been lovingly rehabbed. Online pictures are completely accurate. Celebrated by father’s 80th birthday there and it was a hit. We were able to fish right off the pier and were consistently getting bites and catching small fish like bluegill and perch. The one drawback is that the walk from the house could be treacherous for some as it is quite steep. Overall, great place!
