Stayed Aug 21, 2023A beautiful and comfortable cottage a lovely village. Perfect location for several attractions in Derbyshire, we would recommend Heights of Abraham and the Critch Tramway Village. Fantastic and welcoming hosts, we would stay here again.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025The cottage was exactly as expected and the photos were accurate. Had trouble with gate so parked outside on the road, which was fine. Lovely coffee shop and bakery a few yards up the road as was other convenience shops. Great launch point for visiting area, with lots to do and see. Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Feb 17, 2025This is the forth time we have stayed here and it is still perfect for our needs. It does cold at night in winter and it was very cold outside for our stay. It is lovely and warm downstairs, however the large bedroom needs more blankets on the bad which had been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024Good clean cottage. Would liked to have seen details of how to get tv working and info on places ti eat and visit. This property was listed as having two bathrooms.I disagree there is a ground floor showeroom and a first floor toilet and wash basin. I mention this because we had our 14 year old grandaughter with us and wanted her to have her own bathroom this is why we booked this cottage.

Stayed May 18, 2024The cottage is very welcoming and is equipped with everything that you may need. It is very central to the lovely village with shops and pub almost within touching distance. The off-road parking is a boon although there was always space on the road if more than one car was used. All-in-all an excellent stay and no doubt we will return as there is so much to see in the area and the cottage makes a wonderful base.

Stayed Apr 21, 2023We had an enjoyable stay. The Location is great. Owners were very helpful, providing information on local activities/restaturants etc. We can thoroughly recommend the Pizza night at the local pub (The Cliff Inn). Property was very well equipped. Only thing letting it down was the lack of cleanliness from previous occupants. The Sofa cushions were covered in what looked like Cat hairs. It did not spoil our stay though. Thank you
