Stayed Jul 7, 2025We loved everything about our stay! This cottage is the perfect walking distance from most of the restaurants and bars. It’s quiet and has so much room in the front yard for corn hole or any other yard game you can bring! It’s newly renovated so don’t let the old reviews scare you - we did not see one single bug in the house and the decorations were cute and minimal. It was perfect for our young family of 4 to sleep at night and come back to for nap times in between the beach and exploring the island!

Stayed Jul 11, 2025We booked this cottage for a last-minute family getaway with eight of us. It was a good fit for our needs and budget, and the location was great—walkable to the beach and nearby spots. The listing said three beds and a pull-out couch, but there were actually four real beds, which was a pleasant surprise! Plenty of towels were provided, including some beach towels—though not quite enough for a full house. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, and they provided dish soap, a sponge, and dishwasher pods. The outdoor shower was a nice touch, though it’s hidden in the greenery and easy to miss. Some quirks to note: the front door lock was very finicky. The code was long, and the keypad often flashed red midway, making us start over—very frustrating in the rain. We reported it to management. One night, we were lucky someone had stayed behind to let us in.The parking situation was confusing. You're supposed to park on the north side (tip: enter from 15th Street, not Jones), but it’s basically a grassy patch with a sign. After heavy rain, it completely flooded—we had ankle-deep water and even got stuck in a 4WD. Gravel would help a lot. There was also a sump pump alarm during the storm and a leaking sunroom window, but both were manageable. Don't run the coffee maker and microwave at the same time—it trips the breaker. And bring your own salt and pepper!Overall, the cottage is a bit dated but met our needs. With a few updates, it could be even better.

Stayed Jul 11, 2025Great Location & Space for a Group – Just a Few Quirks to Know We booked this cottage for a last-minute family beach trip with eight of us. The price was great for what we needed, and overall we had a good stay. That said, there are a few things future guests might want to know: Pros: * The listing says 3 beds and a pull-out couch, but there were actually 4 real beds, which was a great surprise! * Lots of towels provided, including beach towels – though not quite enough for a full house, so pack extras just in case. * Outdoor shower is a nice touch for sandy feet, but it's hidden by greenery and easy to miss at first. * The kitchen was well-stocked with basics like dish soap, a sponge, and dishwasher pods. We didn’t cook much, but everything we needed seemed to be there. * Location is excellent – you can walk to restaurants, shops, and of course, the beach. Cons / Things to Be Aware Of: * The door lock was finicky. The code was long, and it often took 3–4 tries to get it to work. We reported it. * Parking is confusing. The listing says to park on the “north side,” but unless you have a compass on hand, that’s not super helpful. A graveled driveway would make this much easier. * When it rains, the driveway area floods. One night the water was ankle-deep and even our 4WD vehicle got stuck in the mud. Again, gravel would solve a lot here. * Don’t run the microwave and coffee maker at the same time – we learned the breaker can’t handle the combo! * No salt and pepper in the kitchen – not a big deal, just pack your own if you plan to cook. General Notes: The cottage has a lot of charm, but it’s definitely showing its age. Some doorknobs are tricky, windows are dusty or cracked, and the appliances are a bit dated. Still, it gave us the space and location we needed for a fun weekend together. Would we stay again? Possibly – especially if the lock and driveway get some love. If you're easygoing and looking for a convenient beach spot that fits a group at a fair price, this place works!

Stayed Jun 13, 2025The house is nice and located in a great spot. The issue is it's managed by Vacasa. Everytime I rent from them I'm sorry. We pulled up to house the grass was a foot tall and you have to walk through it to get into house. The floor in Kitchen was so dirty I went out and bought aMop Sonitor could clean it. Then no internet or TV. My grandkids were with us and it rained TV would have been nice since it was supposed to have it. They told me it would be fixed but not till after we left. They also told me they would call me to let me know about a refund...yeah no call.I booked theHouse I immediately paid I did my part. They did not provide what the ad promised. I paid for cleaning but I had to clean and I paid for internet and there was none. I had work to do while I was there I needed internet.Do yourself a favor and stay away from Vacasa

Stayed Jun 10, 2024This house has a little bit of a weird layout (one bedroom has no doors and other bedrooms have shared doorways) but it was perfectly comfortable for our group. We enjoyed how close it was to the beach, and the kitchen was decently stocked with cookware (minus a can opener!). I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house is very nice, air conditioned and clean. All the listed amenities are available. Beds are very comfortable. Be sure not to go if a lot of rain is predicted. The lawn gets very boggy/marshy when there is a lot of rain. Parking is on the lawn, and you need to walk on the lawn to get to the street. Bring mosquito repellant! Make sure they provide you with the correct entrance code!

Stayed Nov 20, 2022We could not access the property upon arrival due to lock issues. Four hours later we were able to enter. The bedrooms have limited privacy. The place is overpriced considering the updating needed. Other than that, it was comfortable.
