Nice secluded spot with a gorgeous view of the lake. The chairs on the high ground overlooking the beach were well placed. The cottage was cozy with everything we needed. Would definitely come back.
The cottage is colorful and cozy and was just perfect for two of us! We enjoyed the views, the fire pit and beach. We had sunny days and rainy days- beautiful no matter the weather! We had cake by the lake for my 60th birthday!! On our final morning, while we enjoyed one last walk on the beach, we found ourselves under a full rainbow… Just magical!!
This is our 2nd year staying at the Sandpiper house. The house was absolutely perfect had everything we needed for our stay. The beach was wondering for playing and building sandcastles with our littles. We had a great time and look forward to booking next year. Only suggestion is to have larger mats by both doors to help catch the sand.
We had a great weekend at this adorable little cabin. The public space is spacious and light filled and there is everything there that you need to enjoy yourself comfortably. It reminded us of cabins we have stayed at in Norway, where it is common to have small sleeping areas and more spacious public areas. The beds are comfy and the showers inside and out are great. The beach is a short walk down some stairs and is everything you would expect for a beautiful lake Michigan private beach. The cabin is set back a little bit, so you can see the water from inside but not the shoreline. There is a separate little viewing patio with some comfortable chairs that affords a great view down the sand. The fire ring and chairs are lovely. We loved it and would definitely return!
This home on the water is just the place yo unwind and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you.
My first stay at this property was in 2021 for two weeks and was fantastic. But there were a lot of small things, mainly pertaining to the lack of thoroughness by the cleaning company, that needed improvement. The location, the privacy, the views, the big updates to the cottage were and are fantastic. Fast forward to 2022, and all those little things that needed attention last year had been done. Cottage this time around was very very organized and very clean.… Even under furniture. A lot of small things were done to continue to update how the cottage looks and feels, for example, new linens and pillows on the beds, more organized kitchen cupboards with no leftover, half used junk in them. The big screen TV, now upgraded with cable, is a huge plus. Just a few minor things this year, such as burnt out lightbulbs and the stove needing fresh tin foil on the burners. Details. ? Guess I’m particular, but this cottage is not cheap. Worth every penny, though, because of all the main positives mentioned about. Grateful the owners are sharing their beach-side oasis! Here’s to 2023!
I have cancer and was informed three days prior to arrival that I needed emergency surgery. I contacted the property management group, Evolve, on what was happening. I had no control over the surgery schedule. Initially they indicated that I could move my reservation, but after multiple calls made on my end, they couldn't get a hold of the property owner to move my reservation and ultimately ghosted me. I lost the entire cost of the trip.
We spent a wonderful week on a secluded dune cottage overlooking Lake Michigan. We enjoyed the beach, sunsets, and campfires while listening to the waves.
Absolutely the best! We stayed for 4 days with our 3 yr old and an 8 month old. This little cottage had everything we needed for our stay! We only had to bring our food and beach towels. It was clean and the kitchen had everything you would need. The views are amazing and beach was perfect for our 3 year old to play. The pictures were too good to be true, but turns out it was true. Can't wait to schedule our stay for next summer.
What a delightful experience. This peaceful spot of heaven has us recharged. Thank you for this opportunity.
One of the beds had hair all over the sheets and pillows. Gross. Other than that, the stay was pleasant.
