YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY. WE FOLLOW ALL US CDC GUIDELINES and APPROVED PRODUCTS TO ASSURE YOUR SAFETY.
Dear Guests,
Know that your safety is of utmost importance to us. We look forward to seeing you during the season and wish you safe travels and great health. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please cancel your reservation for a 100% refund.

We have always maintained a clean, sanitized and allergy-free rental. For your safety, we continue to use CDC recommended products to kill bacteria and viruses. Sheets and towels are cleaned with Lysol sanitizer & 7th Generation laundry soap. These eliminate bacteria and viruses while using largely bio-based ingredients. All counters in the kitchen & bathroom, the toilet, bathtub & any surface you touch such as the kitchen faucet, bathroom flush, bathroom faucet, shower & tub are thoroughly sanitized with 80% alcohol products. The floors are sanitized (steam heat) & all of the cloth furniture is sprayed with bacteria & virus killers made for soft surfaces. All of our products are allergy free because they biodegrade within 15 minutes so there is no danger to you or yours.

WHAT TO DO and WHERE TO EAT:
Joe is a Captain and runs a business called Rocky Coast Cruises.
Check out his websitewww.rockycoastcruises.com to see photos and tours that he offers. Casco Bay is a beautiful area with a rich history, breathtaking scenery and abundant nature. If you stay at Drifting In you can choose to go on a complimentary cruise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If you'd like a longer cruise, it's $125/hour for the boat with a maximum of 6 people. You may bring your own food and drink because charter insurance will not allow us to provide food.

On another note, Harpswell is a perfect place for safe distancing. There are many choices for beaches; Cedar Beach, Stovers Beach, Potts Point Preserve, Mitchell Field Beach, Lands End Beach, as well as numerous trails with many along the ocean with incredible views. Information on these are left for you to peruse on your vacation.

Additionally, you can enjoy fresh seafood meals from Erica's or Holbrook's Lobster Wharf at Cundy's Harbor (both are BYOB and outdoors). The Dolphin Restaurant has take out so you can bring the food back to enjoy Al fresco meal on your large deck at Drifting In or eat at the many outdoor tables provided. Many of the restaurants in Brunswick (Enoteca on Maine Street is our favorite) and Freeport also have take out & eat-in or eat outside options. Our favorite in Freeport is the Tuscan Brick oven Bistro. Harpswell has a new restaurant by our only light in town, the Schoolhouse 1913. It is completely renovated and beautifully finished.

H2O Outfitters rents kayaks and gives tours via kayak. You can call them at 207-833-5257 to prearrange your choice of trip or rental. Seeing Harpswell from the water is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

The Drifting Inn was even cuter in reality than it looks in the pictures! It was also a cozy and easy place to stay for 10 days, with a full (and fully-equipped) kitchen, large private bedroom, and great loft with a second bed, desk, and cozy chairs. We loved the location, just a 7 minute walk from the beach, an easy walk, bike, or drive to a variety of lobster shacks, trail heads, and just 20 minutes from the friends we were visiting in Brunswick and Bath. Joe and Lynn were amazing hosts and gave us fun local tips that really enhanced our trip. We'd happily stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful and Joe and Lynn were very responsive. There was everything you need and more. They had cheese and crackers, a bottle of wine, fruit, coffee, creamer, and two coasters for souvenirs. It was our first stop on our road trip of Maine and was our favorite place we stayed. Will definitely be going back to stay. Thank you again for your hospitality.

We loved the long weekend at Driftingin. Nice place to be able to explore several islands and preserves. Spent one day at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens touring the gardens and walking on trails. Thanks Joe and Lynn

We can't say enough about this amazing, comfortable, well decorated gem we were so lucky to have found in the pleasant, small, & lovely coastal community of Harpswell, Maine. The owners were so attentive to details, from items available, including very comfortable beds, linens, luxury towels, kitchen & bath laundry items to outdoor chairs & beach towels. Though the vrbo rental is on their property, they gave us all the space we needed, while still making sure if there was anything else they could provide to let them know. We even borrowed their ninja machine to make smoothies! The lovely owners are so friendly & provided any details for excursions around the area for us. They also complimented us with a beautiful boat tour around the bay. This rental is reasonably priced, perfect for a couple, & maybe one older child /teen for the loft area. The waterside deck is a shared area at their little end road, just right small size space for enjoying the water, looking through the rocks beachcombing & seeing the fabulous older Cribstone Bridge. The larger rocky beach is within walking distance just down the road where we searched for seaglass. The wonderful coffee shop & ice cream parlor were often visited by us. Keep in mind towns are about a half hour drive, along with restaurants & other landmarks, but beautiful, scenic drives looking at all the old, coastal, historical homes. You won't be disappointed. We were thrilled to have found this beautiful 2 week home away from home.

We chose this property for our first trip to Maine and our honeymoon. We were amazed by all the property had to offer and it looked even more beautiful in person! Plus, the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The hosts were easy to communicate with and it was clear that they valued our experience. The hosts left us personalized goodies and took us on a complimentary boat tour. We have never had such a good rental experience. Thank you!

The apartment is situated above the garage of the owners. It was perfect for me as a single, comfortable bed, nice shower. A deck with a grill. Owners provide made in Maine amenities, I will definitely rebook for next summer.

The hosts, Lynn and Capt. Joe, treated us like we were special. However, I bet they make ALL their guest feel that way. The house was spotlessly clean. We were greeted with beer, wine and cheese upon arrival, and the fridge had everything we might want for breakfast the next day. Capt Joe and Lynn took us out for a boat tour of the area, and since it was my wife's birthday, they bought her a dozen roses. We felt we had left good friends behind when we left for home. Awesome stay.

We had a wonderful stay with gracious hospitality, in an amazing accommodation! Joe and Lynn thought of everything one might need to accommodate us during our stay. The steps up were a challenge for older joints but so very worth the effort enhanced by views of the cribstone bridge and lovely oceanside decor!
