This cottage is very special. My family has been coming to the Cape for over 50 years and it’s becoming harder and harder to find a truly authentic Cape Cod cottage. So many are being updated to look like stark white, sterile, and devoid of character suburban homes. Not so in this case. This cottage preserves all of the character and charm of this historic home. We felt privileged to now be a part of its history! And the setting is absolute perfection. A fantastic deck with comfortable lounge chairs and a gorgeous view of the bay. A perfectly situated outdoor shower. Private access to the beach. A short walk to nature trails along a marsh. Plus all the amenities you need to have a comfortable getaway. So peaceful and beautiful! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The house is small but comfortable for a couple. Kitchen well equipped (but no dishwasher). Views and location are superb - as advertised. Very happy with our stay.However, we spent an hour late at night trying to find the house. Very frustrating. It turns out street it's on turns into a footpath. The house is beyond the footpath and The only way to get to it is by going down a different street. This should be made much clearer! The checkin instructions specify code for a lockbox. We looked for it in the dark but there is none. It turns out that the code is for a coded lock that is part of the door. It would be good to have directions and instructions written from the point of view of someone who has never been there, and possibly include photograph or map of the confusing parts.

The kitchen had everything we needed.

Location and property were great- Just wish for the price they had linens

This is a lovely cottage right on the bay. Just walk down the stairs to enjoy the sandy beach and views of Great Island. We've been coming to the Cape for decades and would stay here again. This is a cozy cottage with great views. It was clean with plenty of light. The beds in the kids room looked great for young children but might be a bit cramped for teenagers or adults. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, dishes, etc. There is a lovely tide clock so we could easily see it the tide was coming in or going out and about how long it was until the next tide change. The only complaint is that the ticking of the clocks in the living room was a bit loud when sitting quietly reading.

Fantastic location for Wellfleet et al. Caveat emptors: this is really tiny. Terrific for a couple who really like each other...the main bedroom fits a bed, dressers, that's it. 2nd bedroom squeezes in two twins...But truly, the reason to be here are the Positives, which are better than advertised. Just manage your expectations appropriately. We are so so glad we stayed here.
