Stayed Aug 24, 2024Very clean, in the middle of the countryside, good place to get away from the city noise. Nice garden with a lawnmower thats wanders around cutting the grass on its own!!

Stayed Aug 3, 2024A really nice place to stay with the dog and he enjoyed the massive garden. The village has no shops / cafe etc but plenty in the surrounding area. Really enjoyed the stay. I found the Lidl in Guines had the best and cheapest EV charger.

Stayed Jul 23, 2022My family and I arrived late due to traffic issues but this was not a problem as we were still greeted once we got there. The house has everything needed for a week away, washing machine, dishwasher, comfy beds and a lovely big garden. You have access to a pool although this is shared with the owners family so you do not have complete privacy. A car is essential, everything is within a 30 minute drive, supermarket, beaches, restaurants and the journey to and from the Calais is very easy. All in all we had a really relaxing quite family holiday. Thank you for sharing your place with us Marie Noëlle

Stayed Dec 27, 2016Marie-Noelle was a lovely host, and we did have a nice time on our short stay. Living room furniture only consisted of a sofa bed and a couple of wooden chairs, which was a bit uncomfortable - I think that some nice sofas or armchairs would really help. Otherwise, very nice, lovely comfortable beds, nice and warm, and the location was excellent for all the towns and attractions.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It is in a small village (with a bread pick up point), so it is very quiet. The house is just as you can see on the pictures. It does not have a shower, only the big bath. It is in a good place to visit the beach and the beautifull coastline. We also have been to Saint Omer and Arras, which is only an hour by car. You can walk around a lot in this area, much hiking trail in the neighbourhood. In the surrounding villages are beautifull markets, with tasty products. We loved to visit them. Franck and Marie Noelle are very hospitable. Unfortunatly the toilet broke down, but it was repaired in a few hours and we could use their own toilet in the mean time. We would recommend a stay at this house. We have been here 10 nights with our little daugther (2,5 years old) and we didn't want to leave yet...

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This gite is ideally situated for Brits wanting to experience the real France but who don't want to spend a long time driving inland or south. Although only 30 minutes from Eurotunnel, Alembon, the small village where this gite is situated is very much in rural France, and in very pretty countryside. You are within easy reach of the Cote d'Opale, Boulogne, Le Touquet, St Omer, to name but a few. There is good walking from the property too. There is a lovely terrace and garden and in warm weather you may well be happy not to go far. The property was, unusually, better than we expected and we were given a warm welcome. The gite has been recently converted and everything, including, importantly the beds, was of a good standard. The staircase is spiral so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. Owners, Marie Noelle and Franck were very friendly and anxious to please. We took advantage of Marie's offer to cook a meal for 20€ each, which was superb and one of the highlights of the holiday. Well worth a visit.
