From the moment we arrived, our host Tracy welcomed us, made us feel so comfortable and even left some lovely Scottish treats for us since we were there over New Years Eve. This beautiful stone home is spacious, lovely, comfortable with a thoughtful mix of modern appointments while still retaining the charming character of an older farmhouse. The bathrooms are pristine, the beds so comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the living room with the fire felt like a dreamy hug - all 5 of us had plenty of space to watch a movie or play games. Just perfection! The grounds and garden are almost indescribable - someone has clearly tended the garden with much love. Little fantastic nooks and crannies, still green in the winter, added such a magical touch. Sheep on the nearby hillside and the sound of the creek next to the property made this stay our absolute best in all of Scotland. We loved each of our stays in four different parts of the country, but Balsaggart Farm was the clear winner. We enjoyed several day trips driving to Culzean Castle, Dunure Castle, Crossraguel Abbey, Trump Turnberry, Burns Cottage, and so many little churches and sites around that area. You definitely want a vehicle! We were so impressed with Tracy and her dad in the way they have set up this property and were so hospitable, we hope to go back someday. You will absolutely love this place!
