LOCATION, ACCESS AND MANAGEMENT
Perhaps the best thing about this accommodation is that it's location on a large property makes it feel off-the-grid. In this way, the finest in remote hill country beauty and privacy is combined with the conveniences, fine dining and amenities of Lakeway, Bee Cave and Austin.

Upon entering the private main gate, the cottage is accessed via winding drive, over seasonal wet/dry pond and creek, through fields and trees, then up a hillside with scenic views, guest parking, and outdoor hand-crafted stone walls, trees, landscaping and flowers.

The property is managed and overseen by an owner and resident team that care about the outdoors and all those that visit. Guest comfort is made a priority by all.
____
ENVIRONMENT
The guest cottage offers visitors a storybook Texas hill country feel (peaceful, independent and cozy), accented by wonderful lodge-style mountain decor.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a large main living area with high-gloss floors, stonework and area rugs, an antique-style gas iron fireplace (with instant on-off and operational 11/30 to 3/1), comfortable leather seating, separate sofa love seat, beautiful high pine wood ceilings, and various decorative guns, furs and mounts. Views through the panoramic windows are inspiring and peaceful. Close-by feeders offer observation of birds, hummingbirds and wildlife from the interior.

A granite kitchen, large custom 2 sink bathroom with king-sized walk-in tile shower, 2 separate shower heads and seating, and cozy private bedroom add to a charming and spacious feel. A decorated stairway, artwork and 2nd floor grand loft above overlooks the main living area below. The loft boasts a large 6-person table for dining, work or small gatherings.

The cottage is outfitted with a Main Room 55 wall-mounted LED Cable HDTV, bathroom Cable TV, free high-speed WIFI throughout (allowing use of a tablet or laptop for bedroom reading or personal TV), and convenient work-spaces on 2 levels - all of which allow guests to connect with the outside world, home, and office without missing a beat. A perfect place for TV sport watchers also.

This is our third time staying at this cabin home. Todd is a great host and very welcoming. The cabin is so quiet and peaceful and close to shopping and restaurants as well. Todd has done a fantastic job with details of places to explore in the area along with dining options. It is a great location to enjoy the Hill Country and not too far from Austin if you wanted to explore that as well. Good for couples. Would highly recommend.

Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to take a break and celebrate our 23rd Anniversary. This cabin was everything we could’ve asked for. Beautiful views, peace and quiet, and fully stocked, just what’s needed for a peaceful getaway. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! It was the best place to view the solor eclipse!

This is our second time visiting this wonderful property. The owner, TJ, is absolutely great to work with. Easy to communicate with and a joy to talk to. The home is gorgeous! Very clean and quiet. After a day of visiting the towns, breweries, and wineries of the hill country it was a nice place to come back to for a relaxing evening. TJ provides some recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area which is very helpful. It is also a short drive (25 minutes) to downtown Austin. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks TJ for everything!

The cabin is settled back on the property. Stunning views, beautiful cardinals and deer all around. It was the perfect way for us to reconnect, relax and be still. Can’t wait for our return visit.

The property listing had us so excited to stay there, but somehow the house still exceeded every expectation! It was beautiful, both the house and the land it was on. Gorgeous nature and views, exactly the quiet we craved, and still close to anything we wanted. Todd and Laura had thought of every detail that anyone staying there could possibly need. Wonderful hosts, exceptional house and property, the greatest weekend we could've dreamed up. Thank you so much!!

My wife and I visited the cabin for a much-needed weekend away and it was just an incredible experience. The cabin is beautiful, and immaculately kept. It was pristine, and so welcoming. The pictures online are great, but the cabin is even more beautiful in person, and the surroundings are serene and majestic. The best part about our stay was the friendly conversation with our hosts. We came on Saturday as strangers and left on Monday as friends. TJ and Laura are wonderful property hosts and even better people! For a beautiful, relaxing getaway that offers scenic surroundings and a perfect amount of privacy, combined with gracious and welcoming hosts, look no further - this is the place! Five stars all the way around - we’ll be back!
