A Touch of Paradise in rural France with heated pool

We stayed for a week. The weather did not turn out as planned however Amanda was very helpful and keen to help and ensure things were okay. The trip was good and we all enjoyed our stay.

Loved our 3 night stay here. Amanda is a superb host, very generous and helpful. We'll be back next year :)

We throughly enjoyed our stay with Amanda and Graham, such lovely hosts who couldn’t do enough for us, it felt like we were staying with Friends. The gite was beautiful, home from home with French charm, it had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and the pool area was lovely and clean. We visited the local market in Lezay, lots of small towns with in 15 minutes for supermarkets and boulangeries

We have just returned from our wonderful holiday at this beautiful Gite in a lovely rural area of France. Amanda & Graham were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had the most relaxing stay with the use of their pool and sunbeds. The welcome gift of wine and treats was very much appreciated after our long drive from England. Easy access to the motorway is close by for day trips out. We particularly enjoyed visiting La Rochelle and Poitiers and doing everything French style. Amanda was very helpful with information on where to go to eat and drink and we very much enjoyed our last evening eating out with her & Graham. We will definitely return if we visit this area of France again. Thank you both for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.

Couldn’t speak more highly of this property and the wonderful welcome we received. Easy to find and well located for winding down in France. We found it clean, comfortable and authentic. Very grateful for helpful and welcoming touches like chilled drinks on arrival and some breakfast basics which we all enjoyed. Everyone slept well in the comfortable beds. Thick walled cottage cool inside despite beautiful hot weather. Towels for the pool, and, oh the pool! Very refreshing. To be honest we were all (teenage daughters included) reluctant to leave. Stunning stars in the dark night sky. I would suggest researching and planning local days/evenings out in advance, at first glance the area seems very quiet but there’s plenty to do if you look. If staying for a fortnight, this is a great base to plan some day trips further afield as well. Gem of a property brought to life by Amanda and Graham who we genuinely loved! Plus Elvis and Ernie their gorgeous little dogs too!
