A-frame between State Route 6 and Pine Creek; 1 mile east of Gaines.

Great place and time of year

Cons: not as private or secluded as pictures lead you to believe. The owners house is closer to the house than the creek it's supposed to be overlooking. No coffee for the coffee maker. One-ply toilet paper. Musty smell when we first arrived. Shower is impossible to take a decent standing shower in, luckily we're not overweight. Metal spiral staircase to the mezzanine is carpeted with no slip guards, I slipped and fell going down and cut my back on the edge

The A-frame was very clean and very quite. Very peaceful place to stay and relax. There was a couple of restaurants that was closed by and had good food. I highly recommend it and we would definitely come back.

Very very charming a frame. Loved the place and the environment, wish the hosts were a little more receptive. Took a while to get a response, and did not answer phone calls. Otherwise amazing place to stay, and the hosts are fair

This property was beautiful, very clean and just as described. We hiked and did the covered wagon tour while at the A-frame and both of those activities were amazing. The only thing that I would say is that you cannot see the creek from the house but it is just down a little ways on their property. We really enjoyed staying here and my kids have not stopped talking about it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Did not like sound of traffic on Route 6 so much but was reasonable was extremely convenient being right along Route 6 could go left in the Potter County or right in the Tioga very accessible to anything I wanted to do

Love the A-Frame! I stayed there for two nights and the house was very well maintained and clean! There were firewood’s behind the yard to use and a fire pit in the back of the house. The owner has a few more properties on the land so you are not alone which is nice for me and my boyfriend because we are city folks and don’t wander too much about the wilderness. The house was a good distance from the road but very easy to find. We also went at a really good time and were able to see some stars right in our backyard. I would recommend this place to my friends and family and would definitely go back and stay longer next time!

We loved the peace and quiet, the house is very cute but the steps are not for tall people, my husband either bumped his head or shoulder. Besides that we enjoyed our weekend

I used to hunt/fish/hike in this area with my Dad as a child. It's been over 20 years since I've been up this way so my wife and I decided to check out my old stomping grounds. The property is lovely and well maintained. The A Frame is exactly what we expected. Its small but very cozy. The location is great because you are not far from Wellsboro or Galeton if you need supplies. We had a wonderful stay and got to see alot of wildlife which is always a plus. Pine Creek was a bit low but there's so much area to explore that we managed to find a few deeper holes and catch some fish. Overall, a great long weekend in a beautiful spot that we both hope to visit again.

This A Frame is a little misleading. It seems like you will be closer to creek but it is a quarter mile walk to get to. Also the oweners are on the property about 100 yards away and youre right next to a storage unit. We thought we'd be isolated. Other than that it was a cute small A-Frame. Also pretty huge thing is the shower is terrible if youre over 5 ft tall. You have to hunch over. Major design flaw.

The place was ideally located on the Pine Creek. The grounds were well kept and the owner was friendly.

This A frame cabin was the perfect getaway! The locations was nice and peaceful. And the cabin was perfect for the 2 of us! It was cozy and we loved it.

Property was well kept and clean. Very quiet area, aside from the droning of the highway. We had a great time exploring the small towns around the PA Grand Canyon.

Loved the grounds of this property. The AFrame was so cute, and loved the land with ponds and creek. My geologist husband was excited about all the fossils found in the rocks by the creek. The small downside was the size of the shower as the A Frame design makes it hard to fit comfortably...but we made it work.

This cozy cabin was a great place to stay. It was our home base for exploring hiking trails. The waterfalls and views along the 5 mile hike to Barbour Rock were amazing. We checked out some potential fishing spots for the next time we stay here.

We really enjoyed the location of the property and the cabin was cute and perfect size for our little family. The boys loved the snowy hikes and breaking ice on the creek.

Cozy abode in rural PA. Perfect stay for outdoor enthusiasts in both winter and summer months with lots to do surrounding it. Perfect place to stay if you’re interested in checking out Dickens of a Christmas in Wellsboro! Great attraction to see.

Should mention spiral staircase. Listing of stores, hospitals, etc. is an excellent idea.

Clean, well kept

The A-Frame is superb in having all the amenities you need. All paper products, cooking items, linens, appliances, entertainment items, cable, internet service, firewood, Grill, and most importantly a clean comforting cozy home. Owners are super accommodating. Over the past 40 years have stayed at hundreds of Bed and Breakfasts and home vacation rentals. This is absolutely in our top 10. You will not be disappointed by any means when renting from Sandra. Pack your clothes, food, toothbrush and you are go to go. We will definitely be back. Thanks you for a wonderful getaway.

This location is perfect for hikers and fishermen as it is close to many trails through the Grand Canyon and is situated on the beautiful Pine Creek. Great restaurants and shops are close. Cherry Springs State Park is a must see.

It was just nice to get away and enjoy the nature. We saw deer and bunnies around the property. We went out hiking at the PA grand canyon and saw the stars at Cherry springs. I had a great time! The location of the cabin is pretty good.

Clean, well-stocked A-frame. Unfortunately it rained most of the long weekend we were there but A-frame was cozy to sit with coffee and chatty and watch the rain and wildlife through the big windows.

Perfect location for hikes in the PA Grand Canyon! Wellsboro is a cute town to explore and lots of good restaurants nearby. Despite a rainy weekend we had a great time!

Beautifully maintained A-Frame that was comfortable in every way. It was well stocked with everything we needed, the bed was super comfy, the view was great for catching hummingbirds, and we were able to cook / eat in most nights thanks to the kitchen (the gas burners are underrated in their description in our opinion).

The cabin had everything you need except for food. The place was quiet and very comfortable. We will be coming back to this place.

Right in the middle of all the good stuff in the area. PA Grand Canyon, Cherry Springs state park, easy to get to places! Loved the cabin, the location, super easy to get to, feels remote without feeling completely alone.
