West Wittering is famous for its stunningly beautiful landscape and Blue Flag sandy beach, which attracts visitors from all over the U.K. and beyond. It is a favourite destination for windsurfers, but equally families love to get away from it all by visiting the lovely child friendly sand dunes. The beach has excellent facilities, including a cafe and ample parking and there is plenty of space for barbecues etc. The village itself has some useful shops and public houses, with more extensive facilities in the nearby village of East Wittering. The beautiful cathedral city of Chichester lies just to the north and is famous for its Roman connections, as well as the Festival Theatre, which attracts some of the world's top actors. It is dominated by the cathedral and its shopping centre has preserved its heritage and character. There is a huge amount to do in the area, from water sports to sight seeing, golf courses, tourist attractions, to horseracing and motor sports at Goodwood. Alternatively, one can just chill out and relax in one of the U.K.'s best locations.

Property was pleasant all round. Nice garden. Entrance to drive too narrow through double gates. VRBO customer service was shockingly bad. They listed a different address on my confirmation and still haven’t got back to me even though our stay has now finished! Luckily the estate agent handling the property was on hand on a Sunday which was the day before our stay started.

Candy Corner is well appointed, comfortable and a great accommodation for four people. It sleeps six, with two beds in a separate building, but occupants would need to walk outside to enter the main house to use the bathroom and toilet. Kitchen was well equipped. Lounge was spacious with comfortable chairs, settee and dining table. TV had Freeview channels and was easy to use. Bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and there was good storage space in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. The front garden and off street parking was spacious. It’s an easy walk to the pebble beach but you need to drive to reach West Wittering beach which is a beautiful, with a wide stretch of sand, ideal for families and dog walks. Overall, very good value for money and we would recommend for a family of four.

It was a joy to return to Candy Corner once again. The perfect holiday home in the perfect location for myself, my children and our visiting friends. So close to the beach, adorable local shops, cafes, pubs and activities. Candy Corner is a clean, welcoming home from home and has all that you need for a family holiday. We can’t wait to go back next year.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable but apart from that it’s a lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back

The property has good accessibility to beach and village shopping. It is light and airy with a good amount of land surrounding it so it feels more private. There are many features in the property that require some TLC and updating as they either do not work properly or are too uncomfortable. The bed mattresses are really very old on 2 of the beds and might pass for children bit not for adults. The sofa is dire it’s hard and uncomfortable so not really suitable for sitting on any length of time. The two chairs provided are modern office type chairs with a reclined angle and were ok comfort wise to sit in but impossible to get out of. There were 4 of the 6 dinning room chairs that had either wobbly unstable legs or broken backs making them unsafe to sit on. Apart from these major updates required the fittings such as light switches, curtain fixings and window attachments and blind controls all need some attention. There is no carpeting in the property it’s parki flooring which also needs some life and Lino. With some TLC this could be a very nice little property at present I felt that the amount that was charged was not appropriate to the facilities provided

This a a lovely property and in a great location, it is let down by the cleanliness and the most uncomfortable furniture ever! We were out for most of the day, but it does need an update, painting and new furniture. Close to beach, shops and great pubs which serve lovely food. The garden is at the front with low walls, if you have a dog not the most secure

We booked for the location--an easy 5-minute stroll down to the beach. You can for miles along the beach, west to Bracklesham or east to East Head (a gorgeous spot). A 5-minute stroll also to the shops/cafes in East Wittering including a well-stocked Co-op. Bus stop a few minutes walk away, can hop on to go to Chichester and farther afield. The house itself is spacious with a large garden and nice outside seating areas, in a very quiet residential street. Good internet which is a plus. A little outdated in terms of decor but comfortable enough for a short stay, and clean, and really it's all about proximity to the beach. Would book again!

Great location, very close to the beach. Good size and the front garden is nice for sitting out in. Definitely not the cleanest rental we've stayed in - bedding and towels were fine, but the floor, surfaces and utensils should have been cleaner. The other thing to note is the house is managed by an agent so it's a different experience to staying in a rental where the owners are on site. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you don't get the local advice, supplies etc.
