House was very well equipped. No issues with access for part time wheelchair user who could use their chair inside. Well equipped kitchen, ample parking and a great base for walkers and families.

We booked the Barn early so we could have a family get together for Easter, the first time for two years. We were a group of 8 adults, 2 youngsters and 2 children. The owner met us on arrival and explained the heating system and other details. The house was cosy and warm which, for its size, was amazing. There were more rooms than we needed so we had plenty of space. A huge dining table seated us all for meals and we found the smaller lounge more than big enough for us all. The bedrooms were all well equipped, several are en suite. The large kitchen had two good size cookers, two fridges and a fridge-freezer as well as a good dish washer. The utility room had a washing machine and a tumble drier. There was plenty of cooking ware, crockery and cutlery. We made good use of the outside spaces too and there is plenty of parking. The Barn was clean though clearly has been used but we all felt comfortable and at home. Special thanks to the owners for a brilliant week!

A large and comfortable place for big gatherings. Plenty of seats, china, glasses etc. And plenty of parking for our many cars. A bit tired round the edges-curtains need new tracks. Nice new carpet though. We had a great time.

Odd things annoyed like the absence of light bulbs which a simple check before would have resolved. The walk in shower downstairs was ok but unsuitable for semi disabled like the lack of a shelf in the shower. A short hand rail by all stairs/steps inside and outside would help. The very creaky ceilings were annoying. Cracked crockery should have been removed. For 14 people one key was difficult. However the house was warm and comfortable although one bedroom seemed to have a radiator which doubled as an expansion system and could not be turned off. But the place was very suitable for the 14 of us.

Big comfortable house. Mostly mid 20th century furniture. Needs a radiator or other heater in the generous kitchen because it was cold until we started cooking. Masses of kitchen stuff, more ovens, baking trays, casseroles etc than in any house I’ve rented, and two ovens.

Perfect for a large family get together - we stayed in joint celebration of a milestone 60th birthday for my husband and our twin daughters' birthdays. Halfords Big Barn ticked all our boxes, with plenty of room for all, we never felt cramped or squashed and were especially impressed with the huge dining room table and sufficient chairs (and room) for all. Well equipped, very homely and comfortable. Yes, there were a few cobwebs and not every surface was spotlessly clean, but overall we were more than satisfied with our stay and had a fabulous time.

Masses of space and comfortable lounges. Lots of kitchen equipment. Could do with a bit of sprucing up and thorough cleaning. For the price, a lot of house!
