Stayed Jun 29, 2022Quiet and comfortable little cottage. It's a good 15-20 minutes away from the National Park and the village of Volcano, but if you don't mind that kind of drive it's a great place to get away from the National Park crowds!

Stayed Jul 26, 2021Very accomodating! The person in charge of this vacation home is very thoughtful and goes beyond expectations to make the home comfortable for us. It is definitely worth the price (considering it is inexpensive). Downside is that it may be a little difficult to find the property.

Stayed Nov 10, 2025Sweet cottage with welcoming touches like fresh flowers and mint to put in our water. We loved the electric fireplace, since it was quite cool while we there, and we used the space heaters to warm up the bedrooms in the morning (before getting out of our cozy beds!). Great location close to the National Park entrance.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025The Pineapple House is situated just outside Volcanoes National Park to provide the space you need from crowds and allow you easy access to the park for hiking or stargazing at night. The house is well stocked with everything for cooking your own meals, family game night, and sleeping well after a day exploring the park.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Fresh cut flowers in vases on every table greeted us. The house was immaculate; the lawn looked like it was in a fight with the local fauna. (We saw some very cute wild pigs.) The kitchen was well stocked. We were pleased with every aspect of the home and our stay.

Stayed Jan 28, 2025If i could give more stars i would. Had everything we needed and you could tell that alot of thought and care had gone into setting up and maintaining this cottage. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and gave us tips about where to go and what to do in our short time on big island. If i ever go back this will be my number one choice for lodging.!

We had everything we needed and more when visiting this beautiful island! We would definitely choose this place again.
