Cozy first floor in a good location with many beds. It was well stocked with numerous linens/towels/blankets and other household/bathroom supplies. I believe host lives above with family and you might hear them coming and going if you leave windows open, but we weren’t bothered.

House is nice. Location is nice. House was very clean. Everything worked. Separation between first and second floor was thin so can hear lots of noise but didn’t bother us much.

Best part is how familiar we are with the place and its location. It isn't anything fancy but it has everything that a family needs and we had yet another wonderful Thanksgiving together and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Very impressed with how clean this property was. It was well stocked and welcoming. Our first night had telephone work and it was hard to sleep- not the owners fault. On the last night there was s truck parked in our parking spot and thankfully Orlando took care of this. When I texted the owner, he was prompt to reply. Also it’s very hard to rate the pool, when there wasn’t one, but the survey didn’t allow me to continue. There should be a non applicable option for this and I hope the one star rating doesn’t affect the property rating.

Everything was wonderful. More than enough sleeping space for my family. We came to San Diego to visit our Navy son. We all enjoyed the home and would absolutely stay at the same location.Beds were comfy, kitchen was nice and full. The location of the house was perfect for any kind of activity in San Diego.La Jolla is very safe and friendly. Everyone was nice. Plenty of towels. Amenities well supplied. Hot showers.Highly recommend.

Easy check-in, comfortable beds

The stay was great. No complaints. Had coffee available for the coffee pot. Plenty of towels for showers for 6 of us. Close to the beach and many stores/restaurants.

The home was in a great neighborhood and close to the beach and the kitchen was fully equipped. We didn't cook there, the house was very clean on the inside. The accommodations stated a washer and dryer but they were behind closed locked doors and when we inquired we were told this wasn't for renters but for cleaning crew. We didn't realize they were for the community living there. We had the french doors open to have the air circulate and right there was a tenant getting his laundry he left behind and locked up the doors. We had just came off a cruise and thought were were going to be able to do laundry we had bought soap and softner. We had one parking space in the driveway which was next to 3 very full and smelly garbage cans. The grill is not a gas grill but a wood grill which was also next to garbage. Signs were hung up everywhere which stated if we had questions to call Scott which we did and did not have a good experience. We were not able to sit outside because the furniture did not look stable and had spider webs everywhere. When we left on sunday we received a text message about our inquiry on the washer and dryers we sent on friday and the messed received said the washer was broker.

There were things about this stay I wish I would have known ahead of time as it would have made me decide to not stay there. 1. Parking is difficult- street is narrow and on a hill. With cars parked on the street, there was no space to park upon arrival and drove up/down the street several times. When I was parked as close as I could get- I was yelled at by a guy in a truck leaving that spot. Later in the trip the spot stayed open.2. NO A/C- being a single female, did not feel safe leaving windows open with people walking past it to go to their lodgings. Fans were available but it was hot. 3. They were not ready for our stay when we got there so I felt like I was in a sense trespassing with them gathering towels, toys laying about the patio area.4. Families live above you so it can be noisy at times especially if windows are open. It was very clean and had plenty of bedding, beds, towels etc so that was nice. It is a good area to stay in.

Small but adequate for our needs. Price was good and it has two bathrooms. Amenities listed washer and dryer, but while we were there and needed to wash clothes, host said they are broken. I didn't even see a washer or dryer. Perhaps they are behind the locked doors on patio? It was hot (Aug 29 - Sept 1). There are fans, but owner should invest in the good quality, heavy duty fans that really circulate air flow, not box fans. Description of property didn't mention a sleeper sofa. That would've been nice to know and saved us from bringing an air mattress. Fly swatters are needed. Parking is right next to smelly garbage cans and flies.I've listed a lot of negatives, but it's overall a nice little place that will meet the needs of a family vacationing in San Diego. Biggest plus is having two bathrooms.

We were upset as the listing said there would be a washer and dryer for us. They were both broken when we got there and the owner kept promising they would get fixed during our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and they never ended up getting fixed during our stay. We were 6 people and didn't want to travel home, across the country, with a bunch of dirty clothes so we had to miss a day of site seeing to go to a laundromat. We asked the owner for 10 per day refund to make up for the cost of the laundromat and inconvenience. The total refund we asked for for was only 50. The owner refused to accommodate this request and instead said the highest refund he would comit to was 20 total. To toop it all off the owner never ever refunded us the 20 he said he would give us. We have now been home for 3 weeks and 20 was never put back on our card.

Location is pretty good. Unit above us was pretty noisy. Bed was comfy but the futon not so much. You could sleep 9-10 people but the bathrooms are very small. Kitchen is nice small but it was perfect size for the three of us. We were surprised to find centipedes in the kitchen sink every morning as well as a few spiders in the bathroom, so if you don’t mind a few bugs. There’s no a/c just a couple of fans. Needs a little work but overall pretty cute little place.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming guest house! Beautiful neighborhood and close to everything we needed. Having 2 bathrooms was great! Host was very responsive to all our questions!

We had a great stay overall! The unit was, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the experience smooth from check-in to check-out. While we really enjoyed our time here, we did notice that the unit could benefit from some updates to make it even better. That said, it still served us well for our trip, and we appreciated the hospitality

This home is cozy, has everything you need and easy to get to. Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here, there were enough beds and linens and it was a cozy place for us. The owners were easy to work with and were very responsive. Overall 5/5 experience

This place was not for me. It just wasn’t comfortable. Mirrors on most walls, I do not understand why people insist on doing this. Bedroom, living rooms, kitchen. No air ventilation or AC except box fans. Bathmat was still wet and several hanging towels from previous guests were hung, there were plenty of other clean towels at least. Some house centapeds crawling around. Multiple doors and locks randomly, I think this is a converted garage and the lower level of a house. For me personally I paid approx 290 a night including all fees and I would be happier paying a bit more for a hotel. Tried to communicate with owner about their opinion on something, no answer back. Left a message to say I checked out, no response. Location is nice, enough to walk to some little shops and coffee, can also walk to viewpoint of ocean.

Our family spent three nights here and loved it! Beautiful quiet neighborhood, clean space, and lots of sleeping options. We walked to see the ocean and to get coffee at Bird Rock - just what we needed for our vacation. :) Would definitely come back!

Very comfortable for 3 adults and could easily accommodate at least 2 more. Generously stocked with clean and comfortable linens. This is what short term rental should be: family-run, not remote owners. Great neighborhood

The property is close to the beach and is able to accommodate a lot of people with beds in each room. There was a bed in the kitchen/ dining area. The house was extremely crowded due to so many beds. The kitchen was well outfitted and the bed in primary bedroom was comfortable. The bed in the primary bedroom is so close to the walls on both sides you have to move sideways to get out past the foot of the bed. We contacted the owner since we couldn't locate a hair dryer. Owner indicated there wasn’t one in unit. We had to purchase one. There was a musty smell throughout the unit. Not uncommon close to the beach, however air purifiers minimize this and would expect, based on prior guests comments, there would be at least one running in the unit. If you want to squeeze a lot of people into a small space, this is your spot.

Wonderful location in La Jolla…close proximity to beaches, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Host was very responsive when I had questions/inquiries. There are families that live above the unit, but that is disclosed and the noise was not bothersome. It’s a very simple space and covered our needs perfectly, especially since we were in and out a lot. Would definitely stay again.

Great price for our budget. Parking is in a driveway, not on the road, which was nice. Home had plenty of beds for my husband and I and our three teens. Tons of extra bedding and towels. Kitchen has room to cook simple meals and it was nice to have two bathrooms. There is even a foot wash and small shower head outside to rinse off after going to the beach. It was comfortable and just what we needed! We were within 15-30 minutes of everything we wanted to see in the San Diego Area.

This place is in a great location. It is not on the beach, but it is a very convenient short walk from the beach (5-10 minutes walking) and many great establishments, while also allowing easy access via highway to the heart of San Diego. Given that, anyone who is investigating staying here should know that this is an apartment in a two level house, and it is on the lower level. We had people staying above us when we were there and the ceiling was not thick enough to hide any and all movement (from kids, a dog, and people getting up in the middle of the night). The mornings were particularly eventful as the upstairs folks got up around 6:30 and were quite active. Some people have noted the tightness of the driveway. It is a two car driveway, and on this occasion there was another car which made parking a careful endeavor. But that alone should not deter anyone. There is a spot, and it is definitely workable with patience. Some others have noted bugs. We had one spider and one millipede, but for California it was fine. Overall, I do not regret staying here at all. As I said, it was so convenient to the beach and fun restaurants (highly recommend ‘The French Gourmet’). A little sleep was lost due to the noise, but most other reviewers have not found this to be an issue. I would recommend it, as long as you are aware and ok with being on the lower floor.

Place is small but sleeps a lot of people comfortably. Place is clean and in a great location in La Hoya. Very walkable to several places in town and only a 1 mile from PB. Had a great stay and would stay here again. Only things I would say that could be improved is it could use a bug spray service. Did have to kill several centipede looking bugs on the roof and walls. Also whoever the driveway is shared with could park a little more straight. Made it hard to park our last night. there. Overall it was a great experience.

This place was just what my family needed while stayed in La Jolla for three days. The owner was more than accommodating and friendly. And the home was clean, safe, and relaxing. My family and I will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I were in LJ for a wedding and our anniversary for 4 days. This place was perfect. Fantastic location- Windansea beach just a couple of minutes away and The Village of La Jolla right there, as well. Will definitely ba coming back!!!

Great location in La Jolla. It was only my son and I, but I think we probably could have slept 8+ people in there. Great place to stay and will stay there again if in the area.

We had a low-key bachelorette trip here. Everything was perfect. We will be back!

Wonderful getaway spot walk to ocean view and close too all beaches. Not loud at night either

We had everything we needed and if we didn't have it we found it close by. Just a short walk to the beach!
