Had a great stay with the apartment being very clean and tidy with a good level of equipment for my stay, the only thing I would say is that the carpeting is looking a bit tired and has some signs of wear/damage but on the whole I had a real good experience and would book the apartment again, thank you, kind regards William

Just returned from a short break in Astor House Apt No 5 . Had originally booked No. 11 as i wanted a smoking allowed apartment and had contacted the proprietor to ensure this was allowed in No 11. He agreed this was ok as it was the only smoking allowed apartment in the block, so i was happy to pay the deposit. On paying the final amount I noticed I had been charged twice so I contacted the proprietor and after realising his mistake he refunded the amount back to my account. A week before we were leaving i received the email with the door codes and a contact number for the housekeeper and the apartment had been changed to No 5. I contacted the proprietor via On LIne Chat and asked about the smoking and he agreed to make an exception and allow it in No 5. We arrived on Friday and had a knock on the door on Saturday , it was the cleaner who had been sent by the Housekeeper to tell us we were not to smoke and that people had complained about smelling it in the house! I explained the situation and off she went to report back. I then felt the need to discuss this with the housekeeper as i was very annoyed that the weekend was being spoilt by this so rang her and left a message to contact me asap. She rang back but i got nowhere , she insisted that not only could we not smoke in the apartment but also that NO apartment was smoking allowed , not even No. 11 and hadnt been for at least 3 years. She told me we had to go down to the garden to smoke and if we didnt we could be fined. I told her we were not doing this as it had been agreed with the proprietor and she hung up on me. How rude was that. Had i of known we were going to to get this trouble I would never have booked it. I can't reccommend the apartment because of her. To

A very nice and quiet set of apartments. A bit of a walk to the sea front so a car would probably be best.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Astor apartments, it was all very clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again but we would upgrade to a sea view room as the views were amazing from being so high up!

No view at all. We were so disappointed. Small beds and a strong smell of mold in the kitchen area. We couldn't sleep the seagulls were screaming loudly and We had to close the windows - it became very hot. The manager Steve was not very nice on the phone.

I have stayed many times in Torquay and compared to other apartments I felt this was poor value for money. The bed and the sofa were small. The apartment was fine but overpriced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed apartment in an equally well maintained block situated in an elevated position overlooking the harbour & beachfront in Torquay. The property was exactly as advertised and we, especially, appreciated having access to wi-fi, and the bed which was very comfortable with a good quality mattress. The beachfront area boasted quite a few nice restaurants & cafe's. We'll definitely recommend this property to friends. Thanks for a lovely stay!
