The cottage had everything we needed, including sheets to cover the furniture, should the dogs decide to jump up on the couch! Nice touch. Poop bags are available outside if you forget your's before you go out.Outdoor furniture is ready to be replaced. Neighborhood was very nice with pleasant people. Nice area to walk, there are several small shops and eateries to visit. Most places are dog friendly here. Parking is right outside the entrance, making unpacking and packing very easy. The host was responsive and pleasant, making for a most enjoyable stay!

We had a great time. Everything was within a short walk and very peaceful. One thing I would recommend is, if you are predominantly water drinkers like we are, bring/buy gallon jugs of water. We found that the water from the tap didn’t really agree with us.

The Green Cottage is the absolute BEST place to stay in St Marys! It is amazing all the items you might want or need are there! Tom thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and worry-free. He even provided toys for your pup to entertain herself for hours! As a dog lover that means a lot to me. I love the layout of the cottage with the foyer you can close off so children (or fur babies) can stay safely inside. My husband loves the parking convenience right in front of the main door with no trees overhead. We walked down to the river daily and loved the quaintness of the city of St Marys. The selection of restaurants is wonderful! If you book The Green Cottage you will not be disappointed! I give it a 10/10! The host is the best!

This quaint home had everything we needed and the best little backyard for our dog. It’s located walking distance to the Cumberland Island Ferry and Firefly Cantina. The neighborhood is quiet. It’s a cozy home with comfy beds and very clean.

Offered what we needed for simple stay in St Marys while visiting the vicinity and needing dog friendly lodging.

We were very pleased with our stay. The house had all we needed and being an organizer I was super appreciative of all the instructions. I can't tell you how many rentals we have been in that we needed a class to know how to operate the remote. Everything you could need was in walking distance. The town is so quiet and the people are very friendly. I recommend eating at Local Dockside.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and convenient for cooking. It seemed very pet friendly although we did not bring our dog. Loved the convenience to downtown restaurants, park and beautiful sunrises and sunsets, all within walking distance. Only downside was small shower and wellwater smell from washing machine.

I think this is the nicest host I have ever felt with. The cottage was perfect for our stay. The bicycles were a bonus , we got to ride around down town and my small Pom ride in the basket. It was perfect! Tom was very kind and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone and give this host 100 Star rating!!!

Well appointed coastal cottage in great proximity to the waterfront, restaurants, and shops. The owner was on top of communication, and very thoughtful. Great place to bring your doggos too- we will bring ours next time!

From the moment we decided to stay in St. Mary, to the moment of our departure, Tom and Beverly were the hosts that you could only dream about! Tom always promptly communicated with me. This cottage has everything you need and more! The location is within walking distance of this quaint place, and we are definitely looking forward to going back next year!

We love everything about The Green Cottage! From communications with the host to all the amenities in the cottage there is no place better to stay! The beds are comfortable and the exterior fenced in area is perfect for my little dachshund. Bikes are provided to explore the area. The layout of the cottage was well thought out! I would be remiss if i didnt mention how much my hubby appreciates the ample parking out front with no overhanging trees! I highly recommend The Green Cottage!

Property was a advertised. The cottage was perfect for my family with 2 children. Rooms were sufficient and the kitchen/ living room area was larger than expected. Overall it was an excellent place to spend the week while visiting friends and family. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay again!

My husband and I traveled to St. Marys for a few nights with our 2 dogs. Communication with Tom was superb! He made it all go smoothly and not even 1 hiccup. The home is next door to a day care which was no problem, The only time we heard the children was on one of our walks and they wanted to pet the dogs through the fence. Also the home across the street has lots of cars/trucks but really only once while sitting under the umbrella in the side yard did i hear coming/going. This cottage looks to have been originally a business of some sort based on the layout. Access to the fenced side yard is in the master bedroom. The highlight of our trip was the use of the bicycles which we rode all around . We actually didn't get in our car once during our stay ; either walking or riding bikes everywhere. Lots of cute shops, restaurants and beautiful old churches. Overall a great stay.

The Green Cottage is an adorable cottage filled with all the things you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay! The open livingroom/kitchen/ dinning room is perfect to socialize in. The beds are very comfortable. The washer/dryer is a life saver so you dont have to bring as many clothes. They even provide laundry detergent! Tom (the owner) is top tier! He is very friendly and knowledgeable! You will be happy as a lark if you stay in The Green Cottage!

Stayed 2 nights for a visit to Cumberland Island. The house had everything we needed - comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, private yard with comfy chairs and an umbrella, and bonus bikes for leisurely rides around the neighborhood. The location was perfect - we walked to the ferry and to a great Mexican restaurant after a long, wonderful day on Cumberland. I didn't bring my dogs this trip but can tell the house would be great for dogs - privacy fence, easy to sweep floors, and quiet neighborhood with lots of walking options. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house for more privacy.

We loved staying at Green Cottage. Located among shady oaks in a quiet neighborhood, the cottage was within a short walking distance to historic St Marys. Plenty of great eats and lots to do in the area, even if you choose not to take the ferry to Cumberland Island. The kitchen was well provisioned and the cottage had super comfortable beds. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We traveled with our dogs, and found the location great for walks in the evening. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

The location of this VRBO is wonderful, it is well equipped and quite comfortable. Downtown is a short walk away from most sites. The river is beautiful. The submarine museum was a hit. We really enjoyed exploring the vintage/antique shops in St. Mary's. We were in town during the April 12, 2025 Plein Air Paint Out. There were many talented artists painting.throughout the town and it was fun to watch them at work. We had hoped to spend a day on Cumberland Island, but could not get reservations on the day that we planned, so be sure to book in advance if you want to go to the island.

The cottage was quiet lovely. very private,location. the peace and quiet we needed was here.

Doesn't match the online images. Queen mattress is shot. Bathroom was dirty. You have to climb up one foot to get iinto the shower. The vanity is dirty and should be replaced. There are no closets.

We loved the Little Green Cottage. It was perfectly located within walking distance to everything. Tom was great to answer all our questions and provide ample information. The cottage is historic, as is most of St Mary’s. This adds to the charm. The master bed and the shower are a bit small if you are larger people, but we found it to be adequate for our needs. St Mary’s has some of the nicest people we have met any where! Can’t wait to return

visit to Cumberland

Cute and quaint cottage within walking distance to the small town of St Marys. It was a perfect base for our day trip to Cumberland Island and the hosts were excellent at communication regarding check in, how our stay was going and check out. Regarding, St Marys be sure to take the ferry to Cumberland Island. The horses and ruins make a fantastic backdrop to a pristine island. Our two favorite restaurants were Firefly Cantina and Southern Riverwalk.

Super location. Took the provided bikes to dinner a couple of nights. Really fun. Well provided kitchen. Host very easy to communicate with.
