The venue was lovely with a field to look on to, where we saw deer in the morning and evening. The accommodation is at the base of a steep country road. The shower may need a be of TLC on draining and the shower dial. Lovely warm water and rain shower.

The Stables is a spacious cottage all on ground level with three double/twin bedrooms, a large living/dining room, a well equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with toilet and an additional toilet. As accommodation for a party of up to six it is hard to fault. A particular shout-out for the sofas; most seats seemed to recline! The adjacent stream provides soothing background if it is warm enough to keep the bedroom windows open. The one aspect of the the listing which is a little inaccurate is that it does not indicate that the property adjoins the neighbouring farmhouse. However that was absolutely not a problem. Whilst the lane on which it is situated is, like many in Cornwall, very narrow, we only saw about three other vehicles in the whole week we were there. The location, whilst not coastal, has the advantage that both the north and the south coast are within 30 minutes' drive. Bodmin Parkway rail station is only 10 minutes away, and we found some great deals on train excursions around Cornwall. For example £25 got the three of us to St Ives and back for the day - 3 hours on the train through stunning scenery. All in all, we had a great time, and I would heartily recommend this property.

Fantastic cottage - beautiful rural location but close enough to the town to get supplies (although you would need a car) and spacious accommodation and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Loved the cream tea that was waiting for us when we arrived plus milk, tea and coffee which meant we could settle in without having to dash out shopping straight away. Thoroughly recommended and hope we can be back again soon! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage with all the comforts of home. Everything you could possibly need in the well equipped kitchen. Massive bathroom with a large bath as well as a shower cubicle and additional cloakroom is great. The cottage is so tranquil and peaceful but only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Bodmin. Supermarkets also 5 mins drive (Asda, Lidl, Morrison, Aldi, Farmfoods and Sainsbury’s!). Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Enjoyed a lovely relaxing week away with scones, jam & cream waiting for us on arrival (nice touch). Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Excellent property, fully equipped, felt like we was at home, furniture and beds were excellent quality, lovely decor. Lovely reception by owners, they had put milk in the fridge along with tea bags and coffee, they even left us scones, clotted cream and jam ! Fully recommend this property for a great family break, or just a romantic getaway with plenty of peace and quiet !

Excellent cottage, really well equipped with friendly owners, and a real on-the-farm place. Felt like a really rural location but in easy reach of the town of Bodmin
