A gorgeous character cottage in the heart of the Victorian seaside town of Swanage. Built in 1873 by the main founders of Swanage town, it even enjoyed time as a sweet shop back in the 1950s. The cottage has been thoughtfully modernised over the years without losing any of its period charm and quirky nature.


Enter in via a porch with space for coats and shoes, down 3 steps into a beautifully furnished light and airy living/dining room with Purbeck stone fire place and window seat with views down to the town centre.


The kitchen whilst small has been cleverly designed with partially open wall and glass doors enabling you remain being part of the main living area.


There’s a downstairs shower room that also leads out onto a screened courtyard garden with seating, plus parking space with covered entrance to main door. The gated garden can be easily closed to keep children safe and offer privacy.


Upstairs there’s another family bathroom plus 3 bedrooms; the master boasts 2 Juliet balconies, one of which gazes straight down the road and out to sea. There’s an additional twin bedroom plus a bespoke single 4ft bed on a raised platform with reduced head height that children will love.


The cottage is tucked away in a street just off the main town centre so you’re only a couple of minutes’ walk straight down to the shops, restaurants and of course the beautiful sandy beach and Victorian pier. There’s plenty to see and do for the whole family right on your doorstep.
