Stayed Apr 15, 2023The property is basic, but well maintained and presented, and just about perfect for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in nature and peace and quiet. Inverie is the quintessential location for the upper Dee and into the mountains. It's maybe worth commenting that some of the furniture and kitchen gear could do with a refresh, but, as I say, it's perfect for the walker or naturalist. Location trumps quite a lot!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great cottage sitting on the bank of the River Dee. The cottage was warm with good heating and a nice open fire with plenty of logs provided. It's showing it's age a bit with some wear in places but it was nice a clean when we arrived. Plenty of local walks from the cottage and lots to to locally Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here twice before, and returned because of the wonderful location and the homely atmosphere. It is lovely to be within hearing distance of the river and to have the superb view of the Cairngorms around. The cottage is old fashioned, but welcoming, and very spacious. There is room for secure bike storage in the utility room, and the place would be good for dogs. As retired women, we love the proximity of many scenic local walks, not too demanding but very interesting. In previous years, we have loved watching red squirrels feeding from the bird table in front of the lounge window, but sadly, probably because of the lack of visitors earlier this year (due to COVID), they were not so frequent. The caretaker is helpful and friendly, and has always responded promptly to any problems. We would be very happy to come here again if we can. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Loved this place, the only problem I had was that it was cold and I couldn't work out how to use the radiators. Log fire was nice. View from the front windows of the cottage were fantastic. Oven was easy to use. Shower in the bath was lovely even though the bathroom was really cold. Had a problem with the hot water tap in the bathroom not working and it was fixed immediately by the caretaker. Peace and quiet with no Wi-Fi and phone signal at the cottage. Dog friendly as well. I really hope I can go back and stay here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The location is superb and if rural is your thing everything is on your doorstep. We had red squirrel eating nuts from the bird feeder - so remember to pack some - and deer crossing the river at dusk. All this before you even step outside.
