Such a great rural location but not too far from shops, beaches and forest walks. House was perfect for our small family and doggy but be sure to buy grippy socks for you little ones as the wooden steps leading from the kitchen to the lounge are a bit of a hazard bit this qouldnt put us off staying there again in the summer. The open plan was brilliant for the kids and dog to run around and because its such a solid house the kids slept so well. The lounge can be a bit noisy if theres a heavy downpour but this just made is sleepy to be honest. Owners were lovely and very accommodating but overall, we highly recommend this barn. It was a great place to visit, location ideal for getting out and about and seeing the rest of Cornwall, It would have been great value for money if prices had not have went up through Covid period, a bit unfair but i can understand the reasons behind this, we would revisit and local amenities were ideal for a family. It was exactly what we expected. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We loved it at wallbarn, my only comments would be the sofas have had it and need replacing and the polycarbonate roof on the lounge is very noisy when it’s raining and can be chilly at night but they do provide heating. Other than that we had a lovely stay and so very quiet. Perfect for us. Local amenities aren’t close but that’s the beauty of this cottage and why we chose it. No WiFi in our cottage the booking said it did have WiFi but the paperwork in cottage said it was flakey.

Nice quiet setting with loads of countryside around you for people who like to walk. Cottage was nice we liked the different levels it had. Would recommend staying there.

Had a fantastic relaxing time at Wallhouse Barn. Definitely need a car as remote location, which if you are looking for peace and quiet it has it in abundance. The Moor is easily accessible for long or short walks. Owner is lovely and on hand if needed offering advice for amenities and places to explore off the beaten track, and also which beaches are dog friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Wallhouse Barn was very nice and in a lovely location, very quiet area on the moorland, had slight difficulty finding as well off the road. Although we had a lovely holiday, we did have difficulty with the sleeping arrangements as one downstairs and one upstairs, and between the 2 rooms there was a stone staircase to lounge and more stairs down to other bedroom and bathroom. I would not recommend for families with young children, disabled or elderly people as different levels could cause a problem. The local town of Bodmin was close and easy to reach and beaches were within 30 minute journey times. The holiday let was adequate for our needs, but felt that it could of been better cleaned as lots of cobwebs, things left under the bed from previous visitors, freezer had old food from previous visitors and also we unfortunately found a dead field mouse on the attic floor on the day of arrival, so was not overly impressed with cleanliness. You also have to hope you do not get rain as with the poly-carbonated roof, it was very loud and could not sleep properly.

Lovely cottage in the middle of no where. Nice and secluded and quiet. Just what we wanted for a relaxing break. Best to stock up on groceries before you get there because there are virtually no shops nearby, hence the low score.
