Region: The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker’s paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Town: The friendly little community of Northwood is found on the southern boundary of Cowes, at the northern end of the Isle of Wight. The centre of the quaint town of Cowes, probably best known for its sailing heritage, is just 2 miles away. Home of the Royal Yacht Squadron and host to the world famous 'Cowes Week' each summer, Cowes offers visitors a good selection of shops and restaurants, and from there you can also take one of the regular scenic boat trips on offer, or head across the floating bridge to East Cowes, where a visit to Queen Victoria's splendid summer villa at Osborne House is a must. Alternatively, take a walk along the coastal path to the beach at nearby Gurnard or Thorness Bay. This area provides a superb base from which to explore the many delights this wonderful island has to offer, including Godshill, Carisbrooke Castle and The Needles.

Not sure where to start. Place needs some money spending on it, dated, damp, fridge/freezer in need of replacing, grill not working an loo seat falling off! All of which was communicated via the cleaner as the owners didn’t seem to feel the need to contact us regarding the issues. Cleaner, Rosanna was really helpful and went above and beyond. A handyman was lined up to pop over in the last few days of our holiday but would have invoked us having to wait in for when he came as there was just the one key! So hopefully some thing will have been sorted in time for the next holiday era. The caravan is on a fairly busy road through the site so we found it quite noisy with neighbours who decided to party until the early hours for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend!. Was a good location for travelling around the islan, has a helpful store, chip shop and the bar food is good if you are prepared for the wait..
