On arrival, brew a cup of Yorkshire tea and nestle down onto the sofa with your partner, perhaps sparking up the wood burner if it’s cold out. In Hawes, there’s a countryside museum you can visit, and the Wensleydale Creamery (4 miles) is great for picking up delicious local cheeses to have in your sandwiches. Walkers will be pleased to learn the popular Pennine Way, a 268-mile trail of spectacular natural landmarks and historic sites, also passes through Hawes. Keen to hear the gush of fast-flowing water You’ll have three impressive waterfalls within a 5-mile radius – Cotter Force, Hardraw Force, and Aysgill Force.
