Our family enjoyed our stay for spring break! The condo itself was clean and comfortable. The kids shared the pull-out sofa bed and reported it was comfortable. They also really liked the jacuzzi tub! The resort had lots of activities that the kids enjoyed and they loved the water park (which was included). The condo it at the very top of the resort and it was nice and quiet! We even saw a bear roaming around one night!
The property is beautiful.. Great location and fantastic service from staff. The “water park” is decent but not a place you will spend all day at. It’s more like a kids large water play area with a couple of teen/adult sized slides. The traffic flow is a little slow and frustrating. The property is huge and there is only one way up and down the resort. There are a TON of resort golf carts, trucks, shuttles, and other vacationers constantly driving around and most stick to the 5mph speed limit, which is ridiculous, so a drive to the main lodge area could be a frustrating ordeal. The traffic pattern is a mess by the main lodge. You have to cut across incoming and outgoing traffic which at times was bumper to bumper. The restaurant, water park, fitness center, and marketplace are all located at the main lodge area so you were there a lot. Most days there were no parking spots which was also very frustrating. In my opinion, this needs to be fixed. A new traffic pattern needs to be designed and more parking spaces need to be built. There were a lot of people we met over the course of our week there who felt the same way. Overall I would recommend Westgate. It was a great place mired by a few frustration but really a great family friendly destination.
This was the perfect getaway for our family of 4. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's right on top of the mountain so the views are amazing! The water park was included and was perfect for the couple of days that rained since it's indoors. Thank you for the amazing memories!
