They are designed so that you are all set when you arrive but not to last the entire trip
• Our proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, foxes, and more! Black bears visit the cabin often in Spring, Summer, and Fall. You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view from the deck. We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the proximity of the cabin to the park, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. We immediately respond and treat if anything comes up and have found it is rare to come across anything like this.

My visit to Gatlinburg was for a basketball tournament at the Rocky Top Sports World. We do this once a year because my son plays AAU ball. In the past we have had to travel over the river and through the woods, but this time we lucked out big time and was literally 3 mins away. No steep roads. No issues with the cabin. I was more than satisfied. Thanks Chris. You'll hear from us again.

Host was great with communication and cabin was clean. The Internet went out several time and we could not watch tv for about 1/2 the time we were there. They “fixed” the Internet a few times. It was not the best stocked VRBO we have been in and the master bed room on the main floor did not have a night stand on one side. I used a cooler for phone and glasses. The seating in the living room was inadequate for 8 people and sofa was very mushy. This is the reason for the 3 star review.

While there were not distant mountain views, when on the back deck, you were in the tree canopy where the birds were flitting around and the squirrels were running on the limbs right in front of you. It was so peaceful out there. As a nature bonus, a mother bear and her two cubs walked by on the first morning. It is so exciting to see them but not scary. The rooms were a very good size and were very clean. There were only two of us, but there were a lot of towels and the little welcome toiletry gift was nice. The kitchen was one of the best stocked cabins I've stayed in, in regard to silverware, pots, etc. They even had baby spoons. You could not possibly have asked for better hosts. On the first morning, there was a glitch with the coffee pot and the hosts had a brand new one delivered that afternoon. A landslide occurred between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge blocking the Bi-pass. Chris and Morgan provided two alternate routes to get where we needed to go. That was above snd beyond. Their responses were quick and thorough. They truly mean it when they say they want to do everything they can to make your visit the best possible. Parking was ample, right beside the cabin. The cabin was located on the outskirts of Gatlinburg with enough to do around it,that you didn't have to go into Gatlinburg unless there was a destination you wanted to visit. A short drive to Gatlinburg. Many restaurants and a grocery store within a couple of miles.

This cabin had a perfect layout for myself, my husband, our 3 kiddos (ages 7, 4, and 5 months), my parents, and my brother and sister-in-law. We took the downstairs area with the kids (bathrooms for each bedroom…yay!) and they loved the arcade games and Connect 4. The pool available in the log home community was so nice to have! It’s good to know when booking that the property doesn’t really have much in the way of pantry staples compared with other properties we have stayed at. Additionally, all that is provided in terms of hand soaps, shampoos/conditioner, dish soap, dishwasher pacs, etc are small boxes with hotel sizes of these products at each sink. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and even saw two bears just feet away from our cabin!

We stayed here on a family vacation. PROS: Close to Gatlinburg. We were no more than 10 minutes away. The mattresses were comfortable. Kids loved the pool table, arcade game machine and hot tub. Also we saw bears! The gas grill worked and was nice to have. CONS: First upon entering the thermostat was set to 76. It took a long time for the cabin to cool down. The upstairs was especially hot. Our family members who slept up there could not use covers the first night because of the heat. We bought some oscillating fans to help the upstairs. We used three of them. The ceiling fan in the main living room did not work. The light did, but the fan did not. The owners said there should have been a remote to operate the fan but it was missing. They told us they were ordering a new remote but it could not get to us in time. Needless to say the living room remained warm. The thermostat in the cabin is a Nest. For some reason it would reset the temperature every night to 76 degrees. I tried messing with it but could not find a “hold” feature. Every morning I had to reset the temperature for the day. Some of the window blinds were broken. Most of the window shades were not large enough to cover the window. The window above the kitchen sink had no blinds or shades. Anyone could see us in the kitchen and family room anytime. We found a machete sitting on top of the refrigerator. It is worth noting that the area is still building cabins so you may hear equipment running at times.

This was everything our group was looking for. The cabin was big enough, with enough space and amazing views. We had no issues with staying here, communicating was easy with the owners, and everything was exactly how it was described. We will definitely be back again.

Chris was quick to answer any questions we had! This place is beautiful and the amount of wildlife we saw from bears to wild turkeys was just amazing. We stayed 4 days and every single day we were amazed by the amount of wildlife we saw! We will definitely be back and cannot wait to book this cabin again!

We enjoyed the cabin while in town for a basketball tournament. It was conveniently located near the Rocky Top Sports Complex and Downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean, roomy and had a lot of activities for the teens. The property managers responded quickly to a few questions.
