Property description
Rated by Ski Magazine as the No. 1 destination resort for skiing and mountain biking, as well as numerous other outdoor activities, we invite you to come and enjoy.
Our warm and cozy corner unit, on the ground level in Wildwood Lodge, is located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. This location provides easy access to all summer and winter activities.
This 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit is fresh and inviting, having just completed professionally designed renovations. All the cabinets and drawers are self-closing in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a slow cooker, popcorn maker, pizza trays, etc., to provide you with a choice of easy meal and snack cooking apparatus. In addition, the unit has heated floors, fireplace, a Hi-def Smart TV, and free wireless high speed internet.
A private and spacious outdoor patio off the living room provides a summer green space for dining and an area for children to play. In the winter it becomes a children’s play-land. An electric barbeque is provided year round and a dining set in the summer.
Wildwood Lodge has a large heated pool(seasonal) and the largest, year round hot tub on the Benchlands. Free underground parking is provided, as well as locked storage for skis and bikes.
The free shuttle bus stop is outside the main entrance, and the bus takes you to the base of both mountains, the village and Lost Lake in the summer. The valley trail runs behind the unit providing easy access for walking and biking, and the ski-in/ski-out trail is accessed across the road from the lodge. The condo is a ten minute walk to the shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, as well as to Lost Lake.
Our goal is to maximize your vacation to Whistler to make it one of the most memorable holidays ever!!
The property is in decent condition, and it is quiet, and is close to all the grocery stores & lifts in walking distance. The only thing con is that parking space is quite small.
September trip to check out the sites. Short walk to the Gondola for alpine hiking and sightseeing and the SLCC indigenous cultural centre. The complex is older and a bit dated but we’ve stayed in this complex before and love the location and bike storage. This unit has a large south east facing outdoor patio with electric grill.
Unit is at the end of a long corridor which makes it quiet. There is an odd ramp and 3 stairs up to get there from the main entry, which is hard with the luggage racks provided by the building. Hot tub is nice and is under cover. Parking spots are very tight. Bottom of the bunk beds is not very comfortable for adults, kitchen is well stocked with a few spices, salt and pepper, coffee and tea, ice in the freezer. Great for ski in and out although the trails for us were very icy with cold temps and no new snow.
The pictures don't do the condo justice. This is one of the best ski condos we've ever stayed in within this price range, and I've stayed in many! The cleaning was immaculate. All furniture and fixing were in perfect condition. The extra books/games/dvds were all in good condition and very appreciated. The condo is more spacious than it looks in pictures. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with so many extras. The heated floors are wonderful on your toes. Being on the first floor was great -- we could ski to the door and had access to the outside easily. Very, very appreciated. Don't hesitate on this one!
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The condo was well stocked and easy to navigate. Good location. Would stay here again.
Great location. All favorable interactions with owner. Will be back.
We have stayed in many condos over the years and unit 113 was the best so far. Great ground floor corner unit with a larger than normal patio made sitting outside very nice since it could accommodate a table and 4 chairs and have room for a bbq . Inside it was nicely updated and appointed with all the kitchen utensil and small appliance essentials which were of good quality. Lots of towels and hooks and storage. Garage parking a little tight but not uncommon and convenient bike storage room . Hot tub and pool also very nice and convenient to where unit was in the building. If they opportunity comes up again we will be staying again !
The property was perfect for 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen amenities were good. The hottub in the building was fun. It was an easy walk to get on the gondola and to get into the village.
Convenient location, easy access to trails & bus, quiet location in the building, very nice updates to condo, outdoor hot tub great!
Great location
We had a wonderful time for our family weeklong ski trip. My family have wonderful memories of Blackcomb thanks to the condo. The condo was clean, comfy, and spacious. We had all the cooking/dining utensils we needed to have a casual meals. We were slightly disappointed that the washer dryer was a communal coin-operated one. That was my fault for not querying about it sooner. There is a trail that can be skied toward the Blackcomb gondola, however the trail for skiing back to the condo was icy and narrow for my novice skiing 7yr old. The walk back was pleasant anyway - even on ski boots. our two year old enjoyed walking the trail. Transportation to the rest of Whistler could also be acquired with the free bus, but the one busy morning holiday the bus was full and skipped the stop. The location does require some driving to get groceries Or going to the village, if you don’t want to take the bus.
