I was excited for the stay at this property – the pictures looked stunning and I loved easy access to the beach! Out of my 12 days island hopping in Greece, this was the nicest property I chose for my partner’s birthday. However, despite seeing all the pictures, this cute apartment still surprised me! It’s extremely spacious, beautifully decorated, and the hosts are just amazing! We didn’t meet Kostas, but his mom – the sweetest lady – greeted us, gave us a tour, and even baked a yummy cake for my partner’s birthday! They also gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do on the island! This stay was absolutely unforgettable and I hope to come back one day. The ability to use kayaks, floaties, and a bunch of other stuff was a nice touch! Just be aware of the fact that the beach is pretty shallow on that side of the island and you have to walk for a bit to get to deeper parts. The drive to the property is through an olive tree grove and you have to park under olive trees…it was so picturesque, I didn’t want to leave! Oh, and while you’re there, check out Skinos restaurant. It’s a short ride from the property and the staff over there made our stay in Zakynthos so much more fun!

Prior to arriving we had seen the wonderful pictures and read the positive reviews but still our stay at Votsalo managed to exceed our own high expectations. The property is managed by Kostas & family and therefore benefits from a personal touch. Every detail and convenience has been considered, all making for a very comfortable stay. As a couple and now a family of 3, we have been coming to Alykes for almost 20 years. This property is up there as arguably the best we have been fortunate enough to stay in while holidaying in the area. Location wise it's ideal with unobstructed views of the sea and access to a private beach. Downstairs the garden is a great place to relax. Kayaks are provided should you want to kayak in the clear waters of the Ionian. For restaurants, bars and shops, the property is an easy 10-12 min stroll into town. Communication with Kostas before and during our stay was always excellent. We very much hope to return to Votsalo in the not so distant future.

We enjoyed every minute in Kostas apartment. Everything was clean , nicely decorated and his family is very lovely. Our kid didn't want to leave either :-). Especially, the small little things I would like to highlight which are not very common in apartments - Water in the fridge when we arrived, fresh fruits almost every day, plenty of anti-moscito sticks, dish soap... I'm sure we will be back.

The sea just a stone-throw away, a beautiful sunset every evening, swimming with turtles, relaxing at sunbeds in a wonderful garden. All available when you stay at this magnificent and clean apartment hosted by friendly Kostas and his wonderful mother. I recommend it highly!

We had a great week in Alykes. The Apartment was very nice and clean and the look over the sea is just amazing. There are many restaurants and shops near the apartment who can be reached in a few minutes by foot. The hosts were more than friendly and greeted us just as friends and we instant felt there like home. So once more, a big thank you for the amazing stay on this great island! ❤️

Everything perfect except taxis were unreliable and sometimes didn’t turn up at all! Otherwise a great apartment and very friendly people! A safe place to holiday!

We had a lovely holiday here with our 2 young children. The apartment is really well furnished and the gorgeous warm sea down some steps. The sea is shallow for a long way. We enjoyed using the kayak’s provided by the apartment. Kostas’ family were all incredibly kind and welcoming.

I was a little apprehensive because there was no reviews being a new property, so for us it was a little risk, I'm glad to report the two weeks we had were fab, just a little walk into Alykes strip which we all enjoyed anyway, the family that lived and worked close were all lovely, even brought over a little home cooking and always very pleasant, our bed was a little firmer than we are used to but the children were fine, over all a friendly place to stay in Alykes with a wonderful sea view, we would love to visit again... Well done :-)
