Beautiful place only complaint is TV too small

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: great view, but the apartment is falling into disrepair. We have been renting this apartment for many years and note with regret that the owner invests almost nothing in the property. it just pumps money out of what it has. the electric stove requires replacement, the guest toilet and shower were used by previous guests where they kept a cat (we can’t eliminate the smell of cat urine), there was no filter in the air conditioner (we immediately developed allergies), the mattresses were very hard, it felt like we were sleeping on boards, the towel holder is falling off the wall in the guest bathroom, the wicker chest in the living room is filled with dust and it would be better to throw it in the trash long ago (another source of allergies), the carpet in the bedrooms has not been changed for many years (another source of allergies, repainting is necessary, people in unit bellow were constantly smoking marijuana ( can enjoy our view from the balcony and smells in our unit too during a night)and etc.

Location is excellent and the view and property are beautiful. Property did have smell of smoke in the kitchen trash area that didn’t fade. So we didn’t do too much in the kitchen.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had really high expectations for our unit due to the price we paid for the week and the pictures posted. We stayed in 317 and the view is to die for but the condo was filthy and the second I walked in I was hit with an old musty/moldy/cigarette smell. We got there just before the office closed and the day before a holiday so I couldn't mention it for a few days. This unit needs a major deep clean and refresher! Walls are all scuffed up, carpets are old and filthy, fridge had many dead ants inside, bathroom cabinet doors were cover in beauty porduct and beard hairs. Master shower soap holder was covered in old soap! Couches had stains and hair all over them. The back of the pillows were covered in black hair. Everytime I walked by or into the hallway bathroom it smelled like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes in it. After a few days I couldn't stand it anymore and started looking for mold. The shower bench underneath was COVERED in BLACK FUZZY MOLD! It was all exposed wood that had rotted and molded causing the smell. I was furious at this point and ran down to the office to let them know. Melissa was very kind, understanding and accommodating. She moved us to a new unit and provided other accommodations for us. Location is nice and private and I'm sure there are units that are more taken care of and updated but 317 I DO NOT recommend until they remove the mold and CLEAN the unit

We love the warm, family atmosphere, the incredible staff, and the unbeatable location. Panoramic gulf views and spectacular sunsets make each day special. We loved the wide variety of books available! It was nice to have laundry to use for free by the pool as well. It was also nice to have chairs and towels to sit by the gulf. However, the silverware had not been washed when we arrived, so we had to run the dishwasher before eating. Internet was so slow as to be unusable. We used the cell phone LTE.
