Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has been staying at Sand Cay for over 25 years. My parents, siblings, our children and now grandchildren. We missed the last few years with the loss of our parents but all 15 of us made it back to Sand Cay last week and everything was just as it ever was. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and friendly. Longboat beaches are beautiful and uncrowded. We love how so many familiar and fantastic restaurants and shops are still there to greet us. Thanks Sand Cay!

Unit 108 was great!Kitchen was very well stocked- we enjoy cooking, the beds were very comfortable, and the decor was inviting.The grounds and pool area looked great considering the devastation Hurricane Milton caused.And as always, the staff is wonderful- very friendly and helpful!I can’t wait to return!

Master bedroom mattress should be replaced-cratered in the middle and worn out. Superficially Unit was clean but could use a deep cleaning honestly. Lots of kitchen equipment if you plan on preparing meals. In general Sand Cay is a good location and units are spacious.

Grounds are clean. Our unit was spotless, furniture comfortable. Beach was amazing. I would come back again!

Shuffleboard and a large grass area outside our room made for a great place to play when the weather wasn’t warm yet! The pool was heated and well maintained! Our home had all we needed to cook, play, and sleep comfortably! We enjoyed the in unit laundry! This is our 3rd year and the new living room furniture was a hit! Sooo big and comfortable! We love Sand Cay and will keep coming back!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is in sore need of a deep clean. The couch and chair in the unit were very dirty and smelled and in dire need of cleaning. The glassware was cloudy and in the bottom of one of the glasses, I saw crud stuck to the bottom after I got to the bottom of my drink. And now on to the bedrooms. The throw pillows on the bed had dirty spots, my wife had to spend some of her valuable vacation time washing the comforters, and the pull out bed sheets had to be washed as the bed had been clerly put away without the sheets not having been washed. The mattress cover had to be be replaced with an egg create pad which we did at our own expense. We had to go to the store and buy a swiffer to wipe down all of the floors since we noticed that my son's new white socks were turning black on the bottoms from wearing them in the unit.We stayed at Sand Cay for the two years prior to this year and found the other two units to be clean, so this took us completely by surprise. Upon notifying the office, they sent someone in to clean the unit, but the crud was still in the bottom of the glasses after running them through the dishwasher. We were extremely disappointed in the overall condition of Unit 108

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a perfect location with beach right at the back yard. The rooms are not as perfect as brand new but its clean and comfortable. The unit we have filled with beach toys and sports gears. That was a sweet surprise for my kids and grandkids. They have so much fun with all the toys they can play with. Over all we love the resort and location. We'll be back for sure.
