Two Bedroom Ski-in-Ski-out Condo at the base of Alyeska Ski Resort

My husband I stayed in Chris’s condo a couple of nights before going on a cruise. His place had good heat, a super comfortable master bed, nice shower and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved that it is right next to an adorable coffee shop and walking distance on the bike path to Alyeska. It was great for us.

Lovely condo, several restaurants in the area. Lots of options for walking.

Average place to stay. I would recomend staying here.

Something about this place made our trip that much more memorable. Loved the location and home.. Communication was easy with the owner.

Very comfortable Beds are a like too soft

This is the perfect family rental in Girdwood! There's plenty of space to spread out, comfortable beds and pitch black bedrooms. It's also a stone's throw from the Bake Shop and Jack Sprat.

We didn’t like the property, everything inside is very old and dirty

Wonderful property – highly recommend! Perfect for dogs since ground unit near wooded area, easy to take out to go to the bathroom. Living room & couches very comfortable and heater warms up room quickly. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (absolutely gorgeous shower!!). The 2 bedrooms were very convenient for family stay (bunk bed, king bed) and overall the unit was pretty quiet considering it’s on a lower level. Strong wifi and excellent cable tv options. It wasn’t ski season when we stayed but we can’t wait to go back again as the location is prime at the base of the mountain. Also walking distance to Bake Shop and Jack Sprat was icing on the cake. What made the trip memorable was the highly responsive property owner Chris. He was quick to respond and very pleasant to communicate with. We are already trying to plan our next vacation at this property. Oh, and I would be remiss not to mention the heavenly mattresses – we almost didn’t want to get out of bed!!

The kitchen area was great; the host answered any questions quickly, however the views were somewhat obstructed by the cloud cover.

Great location, clean, quiet and safe. Worked out just fine for our stay. The shower was the best on our trip. We were a little disappointed with the sauna situation but I guess it’s set up more for winter use? Would have been nice for some cold Texans. Instruction/directions were easy to follow. Got in and out smoothly.

This condo was great and suited our needs perfectly. Communication with the host was prompt and all the necessary check-in details (access, wifi, etc.) were provided in timely fashion. We could walk out the front door and hike around the Alyeska resort and access its many restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Also very conveniently located for access to the Girdwood area. Kitchen was well stocked and living room was comfortable for relaxing. Would stay again.

We were not in the condo much because we were out exploring. It satisfied our needs.

Comfortable apartment in a good location for hiking. Bed was very comfortable, very nice shower, kitchen was well stocked. The washer and dryer are in a common room in the building and are coin operated. Easy to drive to and good parking.

The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Convenient location to shops and trails. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Girdwood in the future.

This condo was very comfortable for a family of 4- 2 adults, 2 teens. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and hiking trails and many restaurant options. There was a coffee shop literally steps away, which was a nice treat! The master bedroom was super comfortable with a giant king size bed and the heated floor was amazing. Bedroom 2 was perfect for 2 large teens to share. And everyone’s favorite feature- the tiled shower with the rainfall shower head. There is also coin laundry on site,( the little grocery store was helpful in getting quarters) and a shared area with ping pong, foosball and pool tables. The condo was very clean, with plenty of extra blankets, sheets and towels. Kitchen area had local brochures and directions on how to use laundry, parking, common areas, WiFi password, etc. A very cute, fun location to be centrally located for all kinds of adventuring. We got groceries in Anchorage, but you could buy them from the little mercantile just a few blocks away. Or try one of the many little places to eat within walking distance.

We weren’t there much, but it was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Just what we needed.

Outstanding stay. Chris was very responsive, and the condo was in an excellent location on the Alyeska resort grounds, walking distance from Girdwood and easy driving distance from Turnagain Arm, less than an hour to Whittier, Portage Glacier, and Anchorage. An ideal launching point for a day trip to Seward, Homer, or any points on the Kenai. Condo itself was clean, spacious, and well-stocked - bed was very comfortable, shower was spacious and had good water pressure, kitchen was sizeable and functional. Bedrooms were spacious and got nice and dark, even during the 19-hour summer days. You could hear some noise from the neighbors walking upstairs but it was manageable and not bothersome. I don't post many reviews but this was honestly was the platonic ideal of a home base for a weeklong stay in Alaska. You can't do much better.

We enjoyed our stay at this conveniently located condo. Literally steps away from the Bake Shop, Jack Sprat, and the Sitzmark, you can almost ski to the front door.
