Turtle Bay Gardenia!

Beautiful setting and clean. Very roomy layout. Comfortable and away from the crowds of Honolulu.

It is a nice condo but it is very hot upstairs during the day, nighttime is better. They have lots of fans which help but then it's too noisy to talk. There is only ac in the bedroom downstairs but if they put one upstairs it would be way better. Everything else was fine. The big tub is not working but the two showers did fine. The kitchen was nice and the washer/dryer.

Loved our stay

This place is terrible. It was so hot we were miserable. Furniture is dirty and in need of a serious update. It had no outside seating, a very small camper type shower. Only air conditioning one bedroom at front of apartment.the loft where the 2 additional beds are was smoldering hot with no air flow. The beds had dirty comforters, the kitchen floor was filthy and moldy bathrooms. They did send house keeping out to do some cleaning for us like some clean bed linens and change the molding shower curtain. Do not recommend if you want to be comfortable.

Overall the location is great. Turtle Bay is amazing.The condo itself is in need of a refresh. As mentioned in other reviews, the tub is still broken and the two showers are pretty small. It was July, it is Hawaii, therefore it is hot. The loft was very hot with a little ventilation despite several fans. The primary bedroom was pleasant - The AC unit did the job.Communication with management was clear and quick.

Excellent property and location to stay . Check in and out was super simple. The place was super clean and a great location to stay at. I wish they had beach stuff to use like other property's in the area we have stayed at had. Also be warned not even salt and pepper was in the place to use.

Place was okay. The reviews before me are accurate. Very hot inside and a couple of the fans didn’t work well or made a sound like the motor was giving out. The tub inside was out of order which is a bummer when you have young children you need to bath (showers aren’t always ideal for littles). The place was cleaned but you could tell after many renters and the age of the place it’s worn down a bit. Kitchen essentials like olive oil and pepper would have been appreciated. All we had was salt, so purchase ahead of time. Note there is no lanai at this place, just large sliding windows. At one point we got locked out of the unit when the automatic door lock failed. Maintenance took a long time to respond (25 min) and we missed a scheduled catamaran ride with family, we were all so sad. The pluses are a bedroom for adults away from the kids, a pack n play, and it was quiet (no neighbor noise). The beach on the other side of the red horse stables has jagged rocks but it’s a beautiful formation, but the sand reminded me of sesame seeds or coarse salt (not quite the soft Hawai’i sand I was hoping for). Short walk up to turtle bay resort for delicious food/coffee, and to the right of the resort is a public access beach which wasn’t busy and very beautiful! If I came back to the north store I’d stay at the Kuilima Estates again but probably not this unit.

Our family of four adults was visiting the north shore for a few days and found this location to be very comfortable and well appointed. This area was quiet and scenic. The unit is a short walk away from large quiet beaches, coffee shop, and restaurant. Thanks!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was an overall nice condo. Not too many bugs or lizards. If they would put a window ac unit in the loft it would help a lot! Its too hot for our kids nap time in the loft during the day. There was a bunch of fans which help a lot but then it is loud and hard to talk to each other. Nice kitchen and washer/dryer. The pools are nice. It would have been helpful to know there are charcoal grills not gas.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed 3 nights in June of 2024 and very disappointed in this rental. Mice poop all along the wall in the master bedroom, garbage on the floor like it had not been vacuumed, extra blankets in the closet were stained so badly we wondered if they had ever been washed, master tub out of order with a big ugly sign on it. This unit has no lanai and is very dated. The garbage disposal had a horrid smell coming from it. We put a towel over the opening so we could be in the Kitchen. We did not want the management company coming in on their time to disrupt us and vacuum and we knew they would likely not be able to remedy the smell or the broken tub. Our few days of time were precious to us so we emailed management after we checked out to ask for just our cleaning deposit back and they very curtly said no. Also upon arrival we were so busy trying to get my elderly parents situated in the their rental that we forgot to write down the code for the pool and walked over to it with my parents. We text to ask for the code once we realized we were locked out and were told that we needed to walk back and get it from our book!!! Wow! Luckily there were some kind people at the pool who let us in and told us the code since management wouldn't. We also never received a gate code before arrival so we had to use my parents because their manager fortunately took care of them and cared about the quality of their stay. My family will use another company next time we are here that understands hospitality.
