This lovely Truman Annex condo rental in the exclusive Harbour Place condominium complex offers all the comforts of home with the special touches that make it a vacation worth remembering.

The colorfully decorated living room/dining room area, showcases tropical art. A fully equipped kitchen has everything at hand if you decide to cook. A whimsical wall mural of dogs enjoying water sports adorns the master bedroom with king bed along with a cozy sitting area, perfect for curling up with a good book. A queen guest bedroom and a second bathroom with tub and shower are provided.

Enjoy the large shared pool with a spectacular view or head to close-by Fort Zachary Taylor State Park for a swimming/snorkeling adventure or a shady picnic by the sea.

Truman Annex is a gated community within the Old Town section of Key West within walking distance of anything you'll want to do while visiting -- Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square; Duval Street with its bars, restaurants, art galleries, and shopping; historic attractions such as the Hemingway House, Lighthouse Museum, Customs House, and the Mel Fisher Museum. So many options, so little time!

Key West is the place to visit the lively nightlife and relax in the historic charm, flamboyance, and conch-style architecture that early Bahamian settlers made famous. - Any reservations 28 days or longer will require additional clean/cleans to be scheduled. Additional payment will be collected and the amount of cleans will depend on the length of your stay.
- All bookings 28 days or longer require a security deposit to be charged after booking.
- This home is on a monthly pest control schedule. The area of Key West is home to many insects such as termites, no-see-ums, and mosquitos. Pest control can not eliminate these insects during the swarming season. You may also encounter geckos, lizards, iguanas, frogs, and chickens during your stay in the area.
- Key West is a resort island where renovation of existing historic properties, new construction, and road repair sometimes occur without forewarning. AvantStay is not liable for any guest inconveniences caused due to construction in the area.
- The Harbor Place HOA is doing extensive renovations on the exterior of the Condominiums. They are attempting to soundproof the noise the best they can, and at times part of the deck adjacent to your rental may be unavailable for use. This will affect reservations between August and December 2023.
- Please note that max occupancy includes infants.
- Please be advised that documentation may be necessary for ESA/service animals to gain entry.

Parking Details:
- One parking space per unit, no guest parking.
- No vehicle over 18’ long or 80” wide allowed.
- No large trucks, trailers, mobile homes, vans, campers or similar vehicles shall be parked in the Truman Annex.
- Motorcycles and scooters must be parked in the parking lot and not on sidewalks or porches.
- All vehicles parked within the community must either have a permanent parking sticker or a temporary parking pass (obtained at the Security Guardhouse).
- All others will be subject to ticketing and towing.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

The location was absolutely perfect—easy walking distance to downtown. I loved the patio and the easy access to the pool. I also appreciated that the kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils, etc. The condo itself is a little bit dated, especially the bathrooms, but it wasn’t a problem. The air conditioning left something to be desired as it does not reach the main bedroom very well. We had to use the provided fan every night. The bed in the main bedroom was also rather uncomfortable. It would be great if they would invest in a better mattress. Also, upon check-in, I felt that the floors were not well cleaned and the shelves and tchotchkes were a bit dusty.The only other problem was with the rental agency. It is bizarre to me that their hours are pretty much 9 to 5 on weekdays and they close by (I think) 2 on Saturdays, which is check-in day. We had an issue with the air conditioning on Sunday and I called and left a message and didn’t hear back from anyone until mid-morning Monday. It wasn’t an emergency per se, but it would be nice to have better response time. I also did not like how we were told to clean the condo and take out the trash yet we were charged almost $300 for a cleaning fee.

Reviewer Comments: Last year I used At Home for the 1st time and had nothing but great things to say, when there was a problem with wifi, the response was timely and respectful. I did not consider using another management company. Now I will. I arrived on Saturday evening after a 3 hour flight delay, the parking spot I was assigned was filled with construction material and being very familiar with Truman Annex parking, I knew I would be towed so I called ATHome the emergency # which was my only option, Melissa advised me to talk to guard at the Annex entrance which I did but he said he couldn't help me. called Melissa again had her speak with Guard and he agreed to show me a different parking spot. Later after checking in, we could not find the key to the pool so I called Melissa again, and was told she would call me the next day but she called me back immediately and fussed at me for calling her on the emergency line. We never did get a call about the pool key. Fortunately we found it in a drawer.The property was ok, but lots of light coming thru the plantation shutters at night since it is near the front entrance, master bed very hard, some very busy art & home deco. There was no coffee or sugar which in my experience is always provided for the first night. The pool was great better sunset view than from Mallory Sq but we were thrown out and the gates locked right after the sun set so that was strange even when I was the only guest on the pool deck. The location is fantastic being in Truman Annex, lots of security.
