Tropical & Romantic Jaco Beach Condo

The property is excellent. This was my second stay and I am definitely going back. Very clean, very safe. Exceptional staff, including the security guards who do an excellent job of monitoring the property 24–7 Our hosts were wonderful got back to us with any questions and made everything very easy

Macaws was a great place to stay. The south end of the beach is quite, however many places to sip on some drinks, watch the surfers and enjoy the great sun sets. Pura Vida all the way.

Beautiful condo, very quiet, nice pool short walk to beautiful beach. Close to town, only a couple dollars by cab. So sad we had to leave early due to covid-19.

Jeff maintains the condo to the highest standards and it makes you feel like you are at home. It has everything you hope to get when you rent and more. Jeff contacted us before, during and after our stay. He advised us about transportion, where to shop, sightsee and more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Quiet location, beautiful beach, surfing right outside your back door for $35 2 hour lesson. Clean and very safe!

First of all, there is no beach view from the condo. The picture from the master must be several years old before the trees grew quite a bit. That being said, we got over it really quickly because the beach is so close and convenient to walk to in about 3 minutes. The owners were great and responded to our questions very quickly. The condo is very nice and well equipped. The part of Jaco it is in it's a very short and convenient drive to all the attractions, but it is nicely isolated at the south end of town so you are not right in the hustle and bustle when you want to relax. We had a great stay and would certainly come back.

Overall my wife and 3 kids, ages 17,18,12 yrs old and I all had a great time and enjoyed the Macow Ocean Club condos. The unit is very modern and in a very secure location because it is a gated property. Not that the surrounding area is unsafe but the gated location just adds another layer of security for an added piece of mind. The pool is nice and the ocean is only about a 3 min walk out of the back of the property. On the trail to the ocean, you will pass many lizards who make the area their home. It is like having your own little nature trail. We find that the south end of Jaco beach, where the condo is located, is the best part of Jaco Beach. It is much quieter with fewer people than the part of the beach that is near the center of town. The farther you walk to the north end you also start to see rocks all over the beach unlike the south that has no rocks. Much softer on your feet at the south end near the condo. There is also a surf shops set up to give surf lessons right on the beach by the condo. We use The Surf Factory for lessons and board rentals. You can't beat $10 a day to rent a surf board. I think lessons were $90 for 2 people for 2 hours. The owner of The Surf Factory is from south Texas and has been building his business for the past 5 years. A good guy who speaks both English and Spanish. Back to the Condo, it has everything you need and then some. If you have it at home, I'm sure it's also in the condo. Having 3 bathrooms is nice. The only thing the condo does not really have is a genuine view of the ocean. When it was first built it probably did but all the trees have grown up and have all but obscured the ocean view. But don't let that stop you from staying here. Every balcony over looks the pool for people watching and socializing with others if you so desire. Bottom line.....Great place to stay and we would do it again.
