Located on the top floor of Island Sands, the tallest complex in Maalaea, this condo will offer you incredible views of the ocean, Molokini, Kaho'olawe, and whales when they are visiting. What's nearby:
You are within walking distance of Maalaea Harbor and shops. In the harbor, try heading out on a whale-watching cruise with Pacific Whale Foundation, a snorkeling adventure with Trilogy, or a sunset cruise on the Ali'i Nui. If the kids are with you, spend a day at the Maui Ocean center which has Honu, a new humpback whale experience, and lots of interactive exhibits. Take advantage of the restaurants there such as Seascape or Beach Bum's. When you venture out, head south about 7 miles into Kihei town for local beaches such as Charley Young, amazing fish tacos at Coconut's, and the shopping at the Shops of Wailea. Just south, you'll find a four-mile stretch of beach which is a great spot for paddle boarding, walking, and watching for whales.

    The area is dry and dusty not green or lush not like other areas on Maui. Inadequate AC, old bed in master, and lots of deferred maintenance.

    Very welcoming, thank you for the coffee and cookies! Unit was very well appointed, clean, terrific location. Host very responsive to our initial comments. Best surprise was whale watching from the lanai at breakfast! As well as the canoe club.

    Views are lovely, beds comfortable, place was clean, location was wonderfully quiet and 15-20 minutes from restaurants in Kihei. Central location for upcountry and West Maui. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked as well. Some lovely snacks were there upon arrival. The only drawback was that the air conditioning unit was small. The bedrooms were fairly warm at night even with fans and windows open.

    Location is great! Walk to the Aquarium and mini golf. Lots of things to do at the harbor. Not too far from most places. The unit is really nice. The lanai is protected from the wind. Beds were comfortable, kitchen is well appointed and there are bbq’s to use by the pool. Host was responsive. I would stay there again!

    Upon arrival the main bedroom had sand or dirt in the bed and hair particles. Overall the condo was nice and the view was nice. Because bed was dirty it lead my mind to believe the condo was not properly cleaned. I washed all the sheets myself properly.

    This condo is all about the ocean view. Fabulous. Pool and barbecue are great also. Yes it is windy. All day, every day. Not that big of a deal for us. Bathrooms were good. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was good. Washer/dryer was good. Unit is a little dated but not bad. Now the bad. There is no A/C in the unit. The small window unit is useless in the living area and there is a note above it saying to not use it anyway. You can prop open the front door and the wind will blow through like a freight train to help cool off the living room. 2 bedrooms, one in front, one in back. We used the one in front. The only window wouldn’t open so no air flow in there. Thank God for the ceiling fan, box fan, and small fan on each night stand. Even with those we still slept with no covers on. The ceiling fan light chain didn’t work and 2 of the 4 bulbs were missing. I had to unscrew and rescrew the 2 bulbs to turn them off and on. There was no place to plug our phones and my CPAP on the night stands. I had to buy an extension cord and move the bed to plug it in and then plug my stuff in. There’s a window in line with the pillows. The blinds are fabric and useless. The first morning at 5:30am the whole room lights up from the sun. I had to hang a folded sheet to cover it. To the owners, fix the ceiling fan/fans. They are cheap to buy. Put an alarm clock/USB/outlet on each nightstand. It’s 2023 for Gods sake and people want to plug in their phones and CPAPs.
