Three Bedroom, Two Story Home with Loft Located in Sunset Captiva - Sunset Captiva 31

Nice property with a great location. Short walk to pool and beach! Well stocked, comfortable home. High and dry with maybe 10 inches of rain. Store and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely consider renting again.

The property itself was nice. The vents in the house were very dirty. Also the beach chairs and umbrella was not useable. We had to go buy our own to use for the week. Also, there were only two old and dirty beach towels. This is something that should be impugned guests.

This property was clean and comfortable. We had a great time.

The hone was 3 minutes 24 second walk from the beach. Everyone we encountered nearby was so pleasant. We accidentally turned the water off to the house when we used the outside shower, and it was immediately taken care of. The home was in walking distance to The Bubbleroom, Starbucks and other restaurants.

This is my third year of staying in Captiva and I am always amazed of the different beautiful sunsets in that location. The beach is within walking distance, the barbecues are very clean and organized. The houses are spacious and have everything you need. My only concern this year, was the growing number of individuals fishing and chumming on beach while kids and families are swimming just next to their fishing lines. As a diver, I see this as a danger to people due to the attraction of predatory fish like sharks. I also saw no police or guard presence. For the first time this year, we had an intoxicated person just next to us on the beach playing loud music, which is highly unusual for this beach. I would hate to see this beach paradise loose it small town luster due to these bad habits. Overall all, I would continue to recommend it to others.

In spite of sub-tropical storm Alberto, our family had a great time on the island. The house was very well stocked and generally met our needs. We ended up in this house due to being bumped from a 3 bedroom home in the same community just two weeks before our scheduled arrival date. So while this house was one bedroom short, the sleeping accommodations in the loft allowed us to downsize and still have beds for everyone, be it not private bedrooms. Sunset Captiva #39 was obviously well cared for and the kitchen was very well stocked. We so appreciated the abundance of beach chairs and umbrellas! Having such a nice house to spend our family vacation made all the difference! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The beach was just a few minutes away, the bay was a couple minutes the other way – with the dock off of which we could fish, and a swimming pool in the middle.
