The Palm Cottage condo on Chimney Creek

I loved the boat dock behind the property. I went down in the morning and I felt as if I was somewhere far far away from anywhere. I sat and watched the birds dive for breakfast and just listened to all the sounds in nature. I have no complaints about my stay. I look forward to visiting again.

Not a great location. 8 $ minimum to park at Tybee if you can find a stop. Owner needs to fix the tub.

The condo was perfect for a couple to spend their anniversary weekend in. Clean, neat and private. Would def recommend. Ceilings are kinda low so someone over 6'4 would'nt fair well.

Property experienced some damage from the Hurricane. Nothing major. The host actually moved our rental to accommodate our visit.

The tub is too high and slippery for elderly/handicap, no safety rails to get in and out, shower facet about to break - difficult to use, bed is too high for elderly/handicap - can't get into. Roaches found/killed in room. Outside, we were bite by ants while unloading - saw multiple ant hills, and mosquitoes are really bad outside. Inside, it smelled really bad - musty and moldy. By the 3rd night it seemed to resolve itself. We think the dehumidifier MIGHT be the cause and need serious cleaning. Can't close curtains in bedroom while a/c is on, and the blinds need to be replace since they are broken or get shorter curtains to not block a/c. We had to buy toilet paper - only 1 roll was supplied. It is a good location to all of Tybee and to Savannah.

The deadbolt doesn't extend into it's pocket. This should be remedied. If you engage the deadbolt without the handle lock on, you'll see what I mean. I tightened the screws on the front door handle. The handle was about to fall off. I've read previous reviews that describe the same probem. There is a dehumidifier that will need to be emptied at least daily. Ceilings are low. There is no hair dryer provided. Bring yours. The refrigerator was stocked with bottles of water. Bloody Mary mixer was in the cabinet in the kitchen. We called it home for 4 days. We enjoyed our stay.

We could not have been more pleased with the unit itself. It was clean & fully stocked with anything needed. However we were disappointed by the dock We thought we could crab or fish from it. At low tide was mud. Neighbor said can’t catch fish or crab from dock. The property was good but neighboring property all overgrown and piled with junk.

Quiet, comfortable and clean, easy access, enjoyed the laid back

Bathroom sink was clogged. Kitchen sink was also clogged. I coukd tell it was a recuring problem since they already had a bucket under the kitchen sink to hold over flow water.

Everything was great,loved the screened in porch and the rooms were roomy.

The location was in a nice area. It seems like they are trying to work on fixing it up some, but could use a good cleaning. There was a moldy smell when we first arrived but didn’t notice it again.

Great place to spend a few days while checking out the area. The dock was very relaxing and convenient to be able to fish and bird watch from. My wife and I would definitly recomend staying here

The backyard was amazing and quiet the views were pretty to. It was relaxing to watch the fish jumping.

I selfishly don’t want to post a review because this place feels like a hidden gem. We loved our stay here. It was perfect for my wife, our toddler, and myself. Surprisingly larger than expected and felt like I could have had a couple more people with us and still been comfortable. The dock and screened in back patio was a nice touch. Very convenient location, only minutes from the downtown/beach area but away from all the busy hustle and bustle. Also very convenient if you want to drive into Savannah. Window and wall AC units in tandem with the dehumidifier were more than sufficient to keep it very comfortable, despite the mid-June heat. I’m not fully convinced that the main bed is a queen like the listing said, but as soon as I laid down, I didn’t even care because the bed was so amazingly comfortable. The owner was very pleasant, helpful and quick to respond with any concerns. We will definitely be back!

We felt it was very musty, disappointed the water out back would leave and it was smelly mud a couple times a day. There were bugs, and the bed did not work as far as it was suppose to lift the head and foot and we left a day early because it was not a good experience. Disappointed over all

3 condos, 1 up & 2 down. We stayed in the left down condo. Dead end street in a quiet neighborhood. Easy drive to beach and stores. Nice screened in back porch and floating dock. Home has moisture, but that’s to be expected being on the water. Would definitely book again.

Location was good. Definitely need to eat at the Crabshack just up the street. The downside of the place is the smell inside and it could use a better cleaning crew.

Everything about this gem was perfect!!

Everything was great. Just had 2 nights and a day to spend here. More time would have been better. Mike is a great host. Would stay here again if the opportunity allows in the future.

Here for a month and decided to stay another. Great location as one of is transitioning to the area for a new job and a new.life!
