Surfmaster 402 - Three Bedroom, Three Bath Oceanfront Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit we booked was perfect. The location is good right on the beach and the views were spectacular. The balcony was large and it was great to view the morning sunrise from it. All areas are kept clean including the pool area, as well as the beach area. The unit itself was clean, and well stocked. The unit had a very nice layout except for the master suite which has an open bathroom area to the bed area which means no privacy when going to the bathroom. The keyless door lock is great no worries about losing your key. I have only two complaints...we stayed in the North Tower and only 1 elevator was working which meant we spent a lot of time waiting on it to come, that was rather annoying. Also the bath towels that were supplied could have been a bit plushier.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is always a pleasure to visit Surfmaster. This was our 12th year staying here and the weather could not have been more perfect. This was the first time staying in unit 402. The unit itself is ok, however was not cleaned to the standard that I thought it should have been. Also, my biggest complaint is that oddly enough the toilet in the master bathroom is flush to the wall of the shower. Making it impossible to sit straight on the toilet. We had to use the bathroom in one of the other rooms the entire week. Very annoying. Also, the shower head in the master bath looked very nice and I could not wait to use it only to find out that water only came out of half of the shower head. The drain in master bath sink was filled with hair and did not drain properly. Was actually very disgusting.There are several areas in this unit that could use minor attention that would make a huge difference. The main being cleanliness. We pay top dollar for rent and extra for linen package, cleaning etc. and I was washing the blankets and sweeping the floors from the minute we arrived. This has never happened in any of the other units we stayed in.

The balcony was huge and well positioned for sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon as it got hotter. We have already booked again for next year. Also can't beat the proximity to the beach. It is just a few steps away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 3 families (my parents, my family of 3 and my sisters family of 3) overall it was a great place for our families. When we arrived everything appeared to be very clean but by the end of our first night all of our feet were black on the bottom (we went and bought slippers) the master room bathroom toilet is so close to the shower you can’t sit on it properly and there is no door for the bar it’s all open (kinda weird but we dealt with it)The bedroom with the 2 queen beds had no room for storage (no dresser, closet) and the tv didn’t have a cable box and smart tv didn’t work well. The fridge was warm when we got there so all the food we bought had to stay in our coolers till the next day when it got colder. Nice and beach decorated couches and beds were comfy (beds a little noisy when you move)

I highly recommend this rental company, they go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy and immediately take care of any issues that arise. I dealt with Jackie and Robin , both ladies were great. When we decided that we wanted a different condo for next winter they both worked hard and made sure we got just the unit we wanted. Can’t thank them enough. Best experience we have had in the 6 years we have been coming to SC. The housekeepers were also great. Maggie made sure that any issues we had were immediately addressed and got us extra items to make our stay comfortable and it was greatly appreciated. When owners hadn’t done a thorough job of the deep cleaning they were responsible for Maggie immediately sent someone up to address the issues. Unit was updated and looks just like pictures but beds, especially in front master and couches need replaced. Very uncomfortable bed squeaks, for this reason I would not recommend this property for multi-month rental. I would however highly recommend Garden City Reality!

Only complaint is that the mattresses are very noisy in the room with 2 beds which interferes with everyone’s sleep.. and they could be upgraded to be a little more comfortable. Otherwise, no complaints.
