Surf Master by the Sea 709 is a one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath oceanfront condo located 1.2 miles north of Garden City Pier. This condo features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher and microwave, and also a furnished oceanfront balcony, wall-to-wall carpeting, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Other amenities include two flat-screen TVs (42 flat-screen in living room), two DVD players, CD player, stereo, telephone, and Wi-Fi. Sleeping accommodations include one king-sized bed and one sofa bed. Common area features two elevators in both towers, two oceanfront swimming pools and hot tubs, ample parking, (some covered) 7-foot clearance. Parking spaces are limited and availability is based on the size of each unit. One bedroom units are assigned one space; two and three bedroom units are assigned two spaces. Vehicles not displaying a parking pass on the rear view mirror or in a prominent area on the dash board are subject to immediate towing per the Surf Master HOA. Additional parking passes are not available for other guests or visitors of guests. This unit is located in the south building. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy: 4

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the Seafood Capital of South Carolina and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location but condo needs some work. Air conditioner worked very well and good water pressure Plugs don’t stay in the cutlets making it difficult to charge devices. Dishwasher - difficult to operate. Absence of bedroom ceiling fan. Since it was just the two of us, it worked out fine.

The only disappointment was the rental of the chairs and umbrella on the beach that was provided in the past. We were expecting it this year also. We didn't budget an extra $380 for the two weeks. We will probably not be renting this unit again for this reason.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful vacation until I received an email telling me you have charged $200 to my charge card for carpet stains. This happened just after 5:00 so I couldn't speak to guest services. I spoke to houskeeping who informed me that my wife and I are responsibe for a stain on the carpet plus crayon stains. Not only did we not spill anything we are in our 70's and long past playing with crayons. It was my wife and I only. Hopefully its justa misunderstanding but I'll find out tomorrow when I can speak to someone. I wasnt texted any photos that I can dispute, youe unfairly charged my account. A vacation ending on this note sucks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We started going oceanfront in 2021. This is our 4th oceanfront stay. 2 in Garden City and 3 in NMB (twice last year). Each time we stayed somewhere it seemed to be better than the last. But Surfmaster 709 blew them all away! We won’t even look anywhere else going forward. One big problem with High Rise towers is the elevators. Surfmaster had a half day of problems the whole week. And I believe it can be attributed to the yearly inspection. I noticed their yearly inspection certificate was for the same dates as our stay. So let’s say 10 for location. 9 for building amenities, 9 for parking and the room gets an 11 because, besides having everything we needed or wanted the balcony was huge and it had a King size bed. Basically, we got the WHOLE PACKAGE with Surfmaster 709. Not the cheapest or most expensive but without a doubt the best value we’ve had in 4 years. And while not technically related to the hotel, the chair and umbrella guy was also the best we’ve experienced. With over 80 setups a day, he was out there early and everything in place before 9am. He was constantly visible and would check in with you multiple times a day. We are customers for life! P.S. easiest check in/out we’ve ever experienced. Modern, virtual, no key experience. Who doesn’t hate keeping track of a key while on the beach and using the key multiple times daily.

Reviewer Comments: The unit was wonderful. There were some issues (DVD player & washing machine). However Dan, the maintenance man, took care of the DVD & had the washing machine repairman come & look @ it. It was determined there was a lot wrong w/the machine & needed repairs or replacement. Jackie in the Rental Office took care of the washing machine issue (the owner decided to replace the machine but it would not be delivered for a wk). And HOW did she do that!?! Well, the owner allowed us to use his personal washing machine, Jackie purchased a laundry basket for us so we could carry our laundry to his unit & Dan provided us w/a rolling cart so I wouldn't have to carry the basket (I have severe arthritis in both knees). SO! When Garden City Realty says they take care of their customers, THEY REALLY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the unit we stayed in was a wonderful unit & we WILL return to it again in the future!
