The master bedroom with a king bed and bathroom en-suite and the queen guest bedroom opens to the deck, offering lots of opportunities to congregate with a large group or keep it intimate with your morning coffee.

Once you do leave the comforts of this home, anything you'll want to do is close by – the nightly Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square, dining and shopping galore on Duval Street, and many historic attractions within easy walking distance. Spend time relaxing by the refreshing pool or ride your bike to Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park for some swimming and snorkeling at Key West’s nicest beach. Life is good at Sundown Refuge!

- We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Any reservations 28 days or longer will require additional clean/cleans to be scheduled. Additional payment will be collected and the amount of cleans will depend on the length of your stay.
- All bookings 28 days or longer require a security deposit to be charged after booking.
- This home is on a monthly pest control schedule. The area of Key West is home to many insects such as termites, no-see-ums, and mosquitos. Pest control can not eliminate these insects during the swarming season. You may also encounter geckos, lizards, iguanas, frogs, and chickens during your stay in the area.
- Key West is a resort island where renovation of existing historic properties, new construction, and road repair sometimes occur without forewarning. AvantStay is not liable for any guest inconveniences caused due to construction in the area.
- The Harbor Place HOA is doing extensive renovations on the exterior of the Condominiums. They are attempting to soundproof the noise the best they can, and at times part of the deck adjacent to your rental may be unavailable for use. This will affect reservations between August and December 2023.
- Please note that max occupancy includes infants.
- Please be advised that documentation may be necessary for ESA/service animals to gain entry.

Parking Details:
- One parking space per unit, no guest parking.
- No vehicle over 18’ long or 80” wide allowed.
- No large trucks, trailers, mobile homes, vans, campers or similar vehicles shall be parked in the Truman Annex.
- Motorcycles and scooters must be parked in the parking lot and not on sidewalks or porches.
- All vehicles parked within the community must either have a permanent parking sticker or a temporary parking pass (obtained at the Security Guardhouse).
- All others will be subject to ticketing and towing.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    We enjoyed our stay and would return again. There were some minor issues that if the unit was mine Id correct. None oof these are severe enough to cause us to not return but the are issues that the owner may want to address. All minor issues that probably wouldnt be noticed except during an extended stay. Comments are only intended to make the owner/maintenance aware to improve.The unit is nice and conveiently located. Easy access to the pool. Easy access to KW amenaties. (Food, drink, entertainment, sunset views.)Improvement notes for Owner/Maintenance:General:1. Toilet paper - there wasnt enough for 4 people for 7 days. It should be better stocked.2. There weren't sufficient trash bags for the kitchen.Plumbing:1. The kitchen sink faucet is loose in its mount. May cause a real problem later.2. The toilets (both) rocked on thier mounts. This will lead to failure of the wax base seals. The toilet bases should be shimmed and sealed to the floor.3. The bathroom sink faucets show thier age and should be a updated (loose handle parts and clogged aireator screens)4. There is low pressure and not very hot water in the guestbathroom shower.5. The Jacuzzi drain in the master bath wouldnt stay in the closed position (temporary solution quickly and satisfactorily resolved by Avant Maintenence)Electrical:1. Vanity Light bulb out in the master bath.2. Lamps with 3 way bulbs are down to 1 setting or the lamp on the bar is not working at all

    We had the best stay at this condo! We had stayed in a different unit in January. We thoroughly enjoyed it until we stayed here. A huge deck and 5 steps to the swimming pool. The unit was just what we were looking for. Very comfortable and well equipped. The location to restaurants and Mallory Square is perfect. We love to watch the cruise ships come in! Can’t wait to stay here again! The customer service was top notch too!

    We enjoyed our stay in Truman Annex. The condo was clean and all amenities as described. We were glad we were on the first floor as the elevator was u set repair the entire week we were there. We would stay here again.

    The location of this property is second to none! It is within walking distance of the best that Key West has to offer. The unit also has excellent amenities. It is located just steps to the pool while maintaining privacy. The outdoor terrace is huge. The parking garage is also situated very close to the unit so there wasn’t a hassle lugging bags very far. It was quiet and family friendly. Communication from the property management was spectacular. We feel like we made a great choice staying here and will rebook in the future. Our only critique is that the unit is a bit dated, but everything is in perfect working order and had everything we needed.

    Condo located in Truman Annex and close to everything in KW. Enjoyed daily walk to Cuban Coffee Queen in Mallory Sq. Overall had a wonderful trip. Lisa in the office was awesome. She was very helpful in our surprise of our guests. Just a few things needed to be done to condo... - Sink Faucet in Hallway Bathroom has very low pressure. - Gate to Deck needs to be fixed. Bottom Hinge coming away from wall and is sagging. Otherwise a Great Trip was had by all. Would definitely return to Sundown Refuge

    This condo is the perfect location absolutely beautiful, extra large deck… walk right down from the deck to the pool where we spent most of our time!!! Absolutely loved it, I would stay again I just recommend a little more supplies for the kitchen, and cleaning equipment for the grill… had a wonderful stay really enjoyed ourselves The electric barbecue grill was the Best… we grilled every day. Working with the rental company @ home in Key West was delightful

    Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view and great location. Could walk to just about anywhere. The dryer didn't dry so well, had to call maintenance, but everything else was great. Loved the very large deck.

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location and the condo. Perfect for 2 couples. Only issue was our initial entry. The door has a handle that does not rotate which is confusing. There is a key operated dead bolt and a second key operated device to open the door. With three devices, we couldn't figure out how to operate the door. Finally got lucky and had the dead bolt in the unlock position at the same time the other key operated the door. We gave up on the handle.The view of the harbor was better a few years ago. the trees and shrubbery obscure the view now.
