Sugar Ski Comfort Two Bedroom - Unit 231

This was a perfect location for us to ski! Right at the lift. Very clean. Hope to be back again next winter.

Great location for skiers/boarders. Just know week after Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Sugar Mtn!

It's an older condo, but it was well maintained and had everything we needed. We loved the view from the balcony. We enjoyed our stay, thanks!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and layout of the rental. We arrived, the unit smelled clean. Bathrooms and rooms were clean and not cluttered with decor. The issue is that the linens are amazingly old and do not seem clean. Pillows were so flat there is no way they were even less than 10 yrs old. The fridge was clean, but every dish and pan was dirty. To my dismay, the coffee maker did not work. I had to wash dishes in order to use them. This property could be great if they would update linens and go in and totally clean the kitchen and assess for stuff working and not cluttered in the kitchen. We do not plan to stay here again due to these issues. On the other hand, the pool was great, clean and easy to access. It was clearly newer and better maintained than the unit we rented.

Very convenient for skiing with slope access on both sides, expert one side and blue a short walk on the other. Do be aware there are no beginner slopes from the condo. I can’t speak to the comfort of the sofa, but two teenage girls slept on it with no complaints. The only issue with this unit is the Extremely squeaky bunk bed!! If you’re in the bottom bunk, you will wake whenever the person in the top rolls over.

We loved this condo! It was perfect for a quick ski trip. We loved the view and being able to walk to the slope and start skiing!

Pros: Good location convenient to Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock Rental Agency was very nice, and quick to respond to all emails Cons: Very dirty; every single room had food crumbs, one bedroom had a tooth flosser and bandaid wrapper, baseboards were filthy. Silverware drawer had lots of crumbs too. The pull out couch was disgustingly dirty and uncomfortable. Outlets in bathrooms don’t work, cold water in kitchen doesn’t work, and not nearly enough washcloths for a whole weekend for a family of 5. I would not stay in this rental again.

The toilets weren't clean. The bed in the master is hard as a rock, we couldn't sleep on it. The place needs major renovation.
