Star Harbor #27 is a harbor-view townhouse that blends Tahoe charm with everyday comfort, offering a peaceful lakeside home base for every season. Set along the shoreline in a private, amenity-rich complex, you’ll be perfectly positioned for winter skiing, summer lake days, and everything in between—plus easy access to Tahoe City dining, boutique shopping, and year-round outdoor adventure.

Step outfrom the main living area onto the spacious deck and settle into true Tahoe mode. In spring, enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the harbor views and listening to the nearby waterfall. In summer, the deck becomes your outdoor dining room, furnished with a table, comfortable seating, a large umbrella, and a Weber gas BBQ. Private stairs lead down from the deck for direct access to the harbor area, and it’s just a short walk to the boat slip.*

Inside, the home features a cozy sunken living room anchored by a dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace (wood-burning)—the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes. You’ll also have high-speed internet and a 55 OLED TV for movie nights. The kitchen is warm and inviting, with alder cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances.

Upstairs, the primary suite is a quiet retreat with a plush Queen bed, a spa-like en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a small electric fireplace for extra ambiance. Step out onto the private deck for panoramic harbor views, springtime waterfall sounds, and a backdrop of towering pines. The second upstairs bedroom is ideal for kids or teens, featuring a Twin-over-Double bunk bed, an adjacent full bath, and its own cozy deck with a peek-a-boo lake view. Both upstairs bathrooms are bright and airy with large skylights.

A third sleeping space on the main level offers a comfortable Double bed with an adjacent half bath, making it convenient for additional guests.

This property is a fantastic little gem in Dollar Point. the 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms give ample room for a bigger family or two small families. The kitchen, dining, living spaces are just big enough for the same size groups. The Tahoe/mountain decor is updated and lovely. Only comment is that the mattress in the primarily suite felt a bit old/saggy, which might bother a lighter/sensitive sleeper (but certainly not everyone). But the others were great, especially the lower bunk bed full mattress.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: About 8 years ago, this was the very first place we stayed. It was very nice and will always hold a special place in our Star Harbor Hearts! That said, the owner should re-invest into the following items in order to justify the high rental cost. I realize there is more demand these days, but it shouldn't take away from providing quality to the customer all while maintaining the Hauserman brand. This is no way effects our plans to re-book next year as Star Harbor our favorite place in Tahoe. We'll just select a different rental with the hopes that a different owner takes a bit more pride in ownership.1. Refrigerator leaks & woke up to a puddle of water every morning. It also has trouble closing since the stripping is shredded on top of door. You have to force the doors shut to ensure your food doesn't get warm2. There are 4 fans, 2 worked, 2 didn't3. We stayed for 7 days, we were provided 3 garbage bags4. The couches are dirty, smell and are worn, springs are dead and you fall in5. The vacuum cleaner was broken. 6. Gust bedroom closet is full of brooms & cleaning equipment, Only half available ( You could store this in the outside closet)7. Staying for a week, more towels would be a nice to have8. Cleaning the outside deck table and organizing the chairs would have been nice. Looks like it wasn't touch from the last guest. + found 2 cigarette butts and a Coors light can.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, however we felt the apartment was uninviting. The apartment has a musty smell, likely due to the 20+-year-old furniture in the living room. We didn't spend a lot of time in that room because we avoided sitting on it. The sliding door needs a new screen, so we couldn't leave the slider open because we didn't want the bugs to come inside. We had to use a plunger after the first shower, leading to backup waste coming through the drain. The mattresses in the bottom guest room and the upstairs big bedroom need replacing. You hear the mattress springs when lying down. However, the location was nice since other family members stayed in another Hauserman rental unit at Star Harbor at the same time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Almost perfect. Clean, spacious, and a great location. Views of the lake from upstairs bedroom. Had a great vacation with my family. Only a couple of minor things that could be improved. 1) only fry pans were nonstick with coating peeling off. Suggest getting a stainless steel one. 2) Master bed mattress was a bit on the firm side. A mattress topper would really help.
